Standard childhood

The fact that music brings people together has been known since ancient times. This kind of rapprochement takes place at the table, where they drink Georgian wine and sing long songs. Or at an amateur song festival, when hundreds of people rejoice that they were lucky enough to get together. Levan Lomidze plays the blues no worse than the cult performers from America. The famous guitarist was born on September 19, 1964 in an ordinary Soviet family.

The boy showed musical ability at an early age, and when the time came, he was enrolled in a music school to study the piano. In adolescence, he, like many of his peers, began to get involved in jazz and other genres that were tacitly banned. After a concert by an American performer named BB King, which Levan managed to attend, he firmly decided to become a blues musician.

Professional activity

After school, Lomidze went to college to get higher education. A trained guitarist from the first year was attracted to the folk choir, which acted at a higher educational institution. As part of the creative team, the student went on tour to Bulgaria and Romania. As a student, Levan organized a vocal and instrumental ensemble. The young performers were taken care of by the director of the Tbilisi Philharmonic Society Vakhtang Kikabidze. After completing his education, Lomidze continued to perform on stage as a professional guitarist.

For almost eight years he worked at the Philharmonic. Then Levan formed a group "Blues Cousins", which he "sharpened" for the performance of blues compositions. The musicians worked hard and gradually achieved public and critical acclaim. In 2000, at a blues festival in France, the band received the first prize. From that moment on, Lomidze's international career began. After a tour of six French cities, an invitation to other European countries followed.

On the wave of success

In a series of numerous invitations, Lomidze chose an engagement offered by a famous producer from the United States. The band toured the country for three weeks and played fifteen concerts. The work is familiar and monetary. American audiences liked the performers of black music. After the end of the tour, the band was offered a long-term contract. Since then, Blues Cousins has traveled overseas to work twice a year.

The biography of Levan Lomidze tells a lot and colorfully about achievements in creativity and commercial success. However, there is not a word about the personal life of the popular artist and songwriter. Whether he had a wife, no one will say. And the guitarist himself does not answer such questions. He still has many new compositions and performances ahead. Perhaps the marital status will also change.
