The main goal of the exhibition is to attract the attention of readers. But its presence alone will not cope with this task - the correct design of the book exhibition plays an important role.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the direction of the book exhibition. Further movement on its design will depend on this. The exhibition can be informational, advertising, thematic, dedicated to a certain date, or an exhibition of new products.
Step 2
The procedure for working on the design of the exhibition is as follows: choose a theme and purpose, select books and auxiliary materials, work out the structure of the exhibition and proceed to the direct design.
Step 3
At the first stage, decide on the theme of the future exhibition. If the topic of the exhibition is broad, concretize it, focus on a certain period or aspects. An equally important role is played by the definition of the reader's purpose. An exhibition organized for schoolchildren is unlikely to be of interest to older people. At the same time, a serious exhibition dedicated, for example, to Russian futurism, will obviously not be interesting to younger schoolchildren. Take this aspect into account when designing the exhibition itself.
Step 4
Select the books to be exhibited. Depending on the direction of the exhibition, give preference to one or another publication. If this is an exhibition of novelties, post the newest, recently received books. The thematic exhibition should contain the most interesting publications. Exclusive books containing more rare information will only be beneficial. Find support materials that add versatility to your exhibition. It can be video or audio materials, pictures, things corresponding to the topic.
Step 5
Develop the structure of the exhibition. Determine the acceptable number of books, their location, come up with a capacious title for the exhibition. Think over the design style, select the materials that will be used as decorative. The choice of colors and fonts used plays an important role. After solving all the tasks, proceed directly to the design work.
