Before the start of the school period, the only role model and source of knowledge for a child are his parents and grandparents. But already from the age of three, the kid has a need to communicate with peers and this opportunity is fully provided by the kindergarten.
Communication is one of the most essential skills for a normal existence in society, and the basics of this experience are laid precisely in the first few years of a person's life. A key factor for a child to learn to communicate is the ability to contact other children and adults, in addition to parents and loved ones. Most of the experience of communication and interaction with others, the child receives in preschool institutions, which are public and private. In recent years, in Ukraine, state kindergartens and nurseries cannot guarantee the provision of a place for all children, so parents need to take care of finding a kindergarten and preparing the necessary documents in advance.
Rules for admission to kindergarten in Ukraine
The admission of children to kindergarten is carried out by the head of the institution after receiving a package of documents, which includes a statement from his parents or one of them, a medical certificate of his health, a certificate from the district doctor who observes him about the epidemiological environment and a baby's birth certificate. According to the legislation of Ukraine, the presence of certain vaccinations is not necessary for admission to a kindergarten, but practice shows that when selecting candidates, the administration gives preference to those children who have marks of vaccinations. If the child or his family is entitled to certain benefits, for example, the right to reduce the payment for staying in kindergarten, then the parents must also attach documents confirming this to the main package. The procedure and conditions for admitting a child to a private kindergarten is determined by its administration and its owner, and the package of documents for such a kindergarten may differ from the standard one.
If parents are denied admitting a child to kindergarten, then it is necessary to demand that the reasons for the denial be stated in writing. This document can then be used to file a statement of claim in court. The likelihood of satisfying such a claim in Ukraine is quite high, since the right to education of a person is one of the important constitutional rights.
Adaptation of the child to kindergarten
The optimal age for children to easily adapt in kindergarten is from 2, 5 to 3 years old. This is the period of the formation of his “I”, the time when the child can more easily endure parting with his mother and in a short time finds a common language with his peers. You need to gradually accustom your child to kindergarten. In the first days of visiting the group, parents can come there with him, after a few days you can try to leave him alone in kindergarten for a couple of hours, and then until lunchtime. And when the baby agrees to stay in kindergarten for a longer time, does not act up and does not demand mom or dad, then we can say that the adaptation is successful.
Before the baby goes to kindergarten, you need to teach him the simplest things at home, for example, eat yourself, dress yourself and go to the toilet. Getting used to kindergarten will be easier if the child already has simple self-care skills. The psychological attitude of the child is also important - you should never frighten him with kindergarten, put his visit to the rank of punishment. It is better to explain to him that there are many of his peers with whom you can play, go for a walk together, that is, spending time is much more fun than at home or with your grandmother.
