Compensation for not providing a place in kindergarten

In a number of regions of the Russian Federation, in 2012, an amendment to the Law "On Education" was adopted, which makes it possible to receive monetary compensation in case of non-receipt of a place in a district kindergarten for children under 3 years old due to long queues to the place. This compensation is justified by the need for parents to reduce working hours or leave their jobs to find a home with a child.

Compensation is due to working mothers who restrict their work activities, non-working mothers who are unable to get a job because of their employment with a child, as well as student mothers. The average amount of compensation is 5,000 rubles per month from the moment when the child turns 1, 5 years old and until he is enrolled in kindergarten or until his third birthday. The amount of the benefit is determined depending on the level of family income, the number of children and the age of the child.

To receive compensation, you need to contact the regional social protection authorities or the local branch of the Department of Education. Regions of the Russian Federation in which such compensation payments are already being made: Perm Krai, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Smolensk Oblast, Perm, Samara, Tomsk, Lipetsk, Arkhangelsk, Kirov. Yaroslavl, Khanty-Mansi region, Yamalo-Nenets region.

Documents that must be provided in order to receive compensation:

- a statement from parents indicating passport data;

- certificate of family composition or certificate of cohabitation of parents with a child;

- certificate of registration in the queue for a place in a preschool institution;

- a copy of the child's birth certificate.

Kindergarten fee compensation

According to Russian legislation, since 2007, a compensation payment has been provided to parents for paying for the services of a kindergarten, provided that the kindergarten is state (municipal). This payment is due to one of the parents or legal guardians of the child, who pays the cost of visiting the institution under an agreement with the kindergarten.

In large families, the payment is due for each child who goes to kindergarten. Payment for the second child is made if the eldest child (or older children) have not reached the age of majority, as well as if the adult children (under the age of 24) are in full-time education at an educational institution.

The amount of compensation is set in proportion to the amounts already paid and is 20% for the first child, 50% for the second, 70% for the third and subsequent children. The amount of compensation is calculated taking into account the average fee for visiting preschool institutions in the region.
