Obtaining a residence permit in Belarus is not a one-step process and consists of many actions. And some of them will need to be done at home, some - already in Belarus. In order not to get confused, draw up a plan of action in advance, a list of necessary documents and use the algorithm of actions that we offer you.
Instructions
Step 1
A residence permit can be obtained by foreigners who are spouses or close relatives of citizens of Belarus, have the right to family reunification, are specialists that the country needs, or have invested at least one hundred and fifty thousand euros in the economy of the republic. You can find a complete list of categories of citizens who can apply for a residence permit in the text of the law “On the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Belarus”.
Step 2
If you fall into one of the categories, before moving, while in the territory of your home country, you will receive a certificate stating that you are not under investigation and are not convicted. This document can be obtained from the information center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Internal Affairs Directorate of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation at the place of residence. The validity of the certificate is limited. Take this into account when calculating the time for moving and processing the entire package of documents.
Step 3
From the previous place of residence, you must check out and receive a departure sheet.
Step 4
Arriving in Belarus, go to the Citizenship and Migration Department at your place of residence. In OGiM you will be given a list of documents required for obtaining a residence permit.
Step 5
In the medical institutions of the Republic of Belarus, you will be issued a temporary medical card, after which you will have to be tested for gonorrhea, AIDS and syphilis, as well as receive certificates from the narcological and neuropsychiatric dispensaries. Based on the results of all examinations, the therapist and the chief doctor of the polyclinic will issue their conclusions.
Step 6
The next stage - obtaining registration - takes place at the passport office at the place of future residence.
Step 7
At the bank branch, pay the fee for obtaining a residence permit.
Step 8
Write an autobiography. It should contain information about the date and place of your birth, education, career, marital status and relatives living in Belarus.
Step 9
Having collected all the documents, fill out the application form (it is issued at the OGiM), take standard photographs for documents (4X5 cm) and with all the papers go to the OGiM again. There your application will be considered within 90 days.
