For example, for a university textbook "quality mark" is the stamp of the UMO - Educational and Methodological Association for University Education. But what does a higher education institution or publisher have to do to get it?

Instructions
Step 1
Check if your publication is suitable for obtaining the ULV signature. For this, the textbook must have a volume of six author's printed sheets or more. Also, it must be written in one of the specialties that are taught in universities. In addition to printed textbooks, electronic textbooks and teaching aids are also accepted for consideration.
Step 2
Write a letter asking for the ULV label. As the addressee, you need to indicate the chairman of the educational and methodological council (UMC) in the specialty for which the textbook was drawn up. Its name and the name of the council can be found on the UMO website, in the "UMO structure" section. By clicking on the name of the UMC, you will find the name, phone number and email address of the head.
The letter must indicate the name of the publication, the coordinates of the publishing house or university that is going to publish the book, and also briefly outline the topic and significance of the publication. The letter must be signed by the rector of the university or the director of the publishing house involved in the publication of the manual.
Step 3
Also draw up a document that guarantees payment for the activities of the UMO expert commission. If a textbook is issued by a university, a document is also needed on the meeting of the educational council regarding the textbook, indicating that it is suitable for the examination of the Educational and Methodological Commission.
Step 4
Send all these documents together with the manuscript to Moscow to the address 119991, Leninskie Gory, Moscow State University, Main building, A 1006. After that, wait for a response on the assignment of the stamp or refusal to do so. Pay for examination services. If approved by the commission, you will have the right to put the ULV stamp on the title page of the publication.
Step 5
If UMO's approval was denied, you can submit the textbook to the expert committee again. But preliminarily modify the text in accordance with the remarks indicated in the response of the staff of the Educational and Methodological Association.
