Reserves are nature protection zones specially created by people. There are tens of thousands of nature reserves in the world, according to the site "National Parks of the World" they occupy about 10% of the land. Why do states spend huge amounts of money to maintain and protect these zones?
The creation of protected areas pursues both nature protection and aesthetic, if I may say so, goals. You are probably pleased to see clean corners of nature, admire the views of the mountains, the sea and not stumbling over plastic bottles, metal cans, cigarette butts and plastic waste.
Unfortunately, people have noticed that there are less and less clean corners of nature. Modern human life is so intense that it damages nature. A large amount of household and, especially, industrial waste poisons the planet. Not all states have the desire and ability to dispose of waste correctly. And, for example, all of humanity still does not know what to do with nuclear waste.
The desire to preserve the pristine nature makes both environmental scientists and governments of different countries think about the creation of nature protection zones. Last but not least, they are focused on preserving the diversity of life forms and protecting unique areas of nature. Reserves are created on the territories of forests, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and even glaciers, and show the uniqueness of flora and fauna, especially the relief of the earth. Special actions are aimed at protecting these places from human invasion, from causing harm to nature and animals.
Reserves are local hunting, private and state. This means that the goals of creation are slightly different for them. Hunting is primarily designed to take control of the shooting of animals. They also apply actions aimed at restoring the number of animals. Private reserves are also aimed at preserving nature and animals that exist on their territory. But in addition, the owners can also profit from their reserves, using them as paid vacation spots. State reserves primarily protect animals and plants that are in danger of extinction, and are working to preserve unique biocenoses and genetic diversity on the planet as a whole.
