Sergei Bubnov is one of the brightest Russian flutists, known far beyond the borders of his homeland. He performs the most difficult parts from the works of both Russian and foreign composers. Recently, Bubnov has passed on his experience to the younger generation in one of the children's music schools in Moscow.
Biography: early years
Sergei Sergeevich Bubnov was born on August 18, 1955 in Moscow. In the first grade, he became interested in playing the flute. Sergey devoted all his free time to this occupation.
After school, Bubnov entered the Moscow Conservatory. P. Tchaikovsky, choosing the department of wind instruments. There his main mentor was Yuri Dolzhikov, a famous flutist and author of a number of musical works. Later, Bubnov did an internship with him as an assistant. Such an internship gave Sergey a lot: he gained experience, honed his flute skills.
During his studies at the Conservatory, Bubnov took part in various music competitions. So, in 1977 he became a laureate of the Prague Spring international festival. Then Sergey received the first degree prize. A year later, Bubnov became a laureate of an international youth festival that took place in Cuba.
Career
After completing his internship with Yuri Dolzhikov, Bubnov began working at the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra. P. Tchaikovsky. The ensemble was then managed by the famous conductor Vladimir Fedoseev. Later Bubnov played in the National Orchestra of Russia under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov and Mikhail Pletnev. Work in these renowned collectives brought Sergei recognition not only of the Soviet, but also of the foreign public.
In the mid-1980s, Bubnov played in the Concertino chamber ensemble under the direction of violinist Andrei Korsakov. At the same time, he released several records with recordings of compositions by Johann Bach, Sergei Prokofiev, Jacques Ibert.
In the difficult 90s for Russian art, Bubnov did not stop performing, including touring the world. He went on stage with such stars as Montserrat Caballe, Luciano Pavarotti, Peter Donohow, Yuri Bashmet. His compositions were released not only by Russian, but also by foreign recording studios, including Sony Classics, Virginia Classic, Deutche Grammophon.
In 2003, Sergei Bubnov began to play in the newly created National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. He led the group of flutes. The ensemble's repertoire consists of both classical music and author's compositions.
In 2010, Bubnov tried on the role of a teacher, getting a job at the children's music school named after I. V. Blazhevich. There he also runs the wind instruments department. The musician is an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
Personal life
Bubnov does not advertise his personal life. He has a wife who is far from the world of music. In an interview, Bubnov noted that she is a non-public person. There is no information about children.
