The future theater and film actor was born on December 7, 1956 in the village of Kotelva in Ukraine. By nature, the boy was inquisitive, but very shy. Impressed by the creative works of Marcello Mastroianni and Alain Delon, Valery dreamed of the magical world of cinema from an early age. His dreams began to come true when the boy was only 12 years old: already at this age, Valery began to appear in children's films.
Mom Valeria was great at drawing, singing, writing poetry, she was very artistic. She supported her son's creative aspirations and even sent him to a music school.
One of the steps in the education of the Watchman was the Tver School of Music. Here Valery studied at the directing and choral department. The creative life spun the young man: he performs in mini-performances, participates in skits, gradually becomes a master of improvisation.

Valery was captivated by the magical atmosphere of the auditorium. Ill with the stage, he is trying to become a student at a theater university. An attempt to enter GITIS ended in failure. As a result, Valery enters the Schepkinsky school. In 1979 he graduated from the university and received an offer to serve in the troupe of the Maly Theater. However, Valery preferred to collaborate with the Mossovet Theater. In those years Rostislav Plyatt, Faina Ranevskaya, Georgy Zhzhenov, Margarita Terekhova, Leonid Markov shone on this stage.
The role of Jesus in the play "Jesus Christ - Superstar" could become a landmark work in the work of the actor. However, Valery internally opposed this image and eventually left the project shortly before the premiere. However, the role did not want to let go of the actor. In 1996, he returned to work on this complex image. The performance was an unprecedented success and brought the actor popularity.
Valery's relationship with the world of cinema has become no less fruitful. In 1983 he took part in the filming of the film "The Tale of Wanderings".
