Susan Ward is an American actress best known for her role as Mag Cummings in Sunset Beach Love and Secrets. Together with her project partner Clive Robertson, Susan was awarded the 1999 Soap Opera Digest. She is also known to the audience for the films: "Love of Evil", "Wildness 2", "Friends", "Lather Like a Criminal", "Gymnasts", "Especially Serious Crimes".
Susan began her career in show business during her school years by signing a contract with a modeling agency. She was offered her first film role when the girl was sixteen years old. In the late 90s, Ward had already settled in Hollywood and decided to achieve recognition and success by all means.
early years
Susan's biography began in the USA, in the state of Louisiana. She was born in the spring of 1976. Her parents had their own farm. Therefore, the girl spent a lot of time with animals, from childhood dreaming of becoming a veterinarian.
A chance meeting at the store where Susan went shopping with her parents completely changed her life. The girl was noticed by representatives of a modeling agency who were engaged in the selection of young models for fashion catalogs and magazines. Susan was offered to take part in the competition, she decided to try.
Having successfully passed the selection, Susan signed a contract with a well-known advertising company. And already at the age of thirteen she began to work as a model.
Three years later, the girl was offered to play a small cameo role in the new television project "Swans Crossing". Despite the fact that even in the credits her name was not indicated, the girl was noticed. Soon she received an invitation to shoot in the All My Children project.
At first, she was supposed to star in only one episode, but the director liked the play of the young actress so much that her appearance on the screen was extended for several more episodes. As a result, Susan starred in the project for a year, and then entered the main cast of the series.
Having already started working on television, Susan decided to completely immerse herself in the study of the profession and began to take acting lessons. She was absolutely sure that her future life would be devoted to cinema.
Film career
In the winter of 1996, one of the TV channels began showing the new series "Malibu Shores". There, Susan received one of the central roles, which the famous Aaron Spelling offered her to play. The project did not last long. Eight episodes were filmed, which did not arouse viewers' interest, and the series was canceled.
For Susan it was a big blow, because at that time it was her only job. She already imagined how she would return home and start living on the farm again, but luck again smiled at her. After passing regular auditions, the actress got a role in the film "The Amazing Wanderings of Hercules", and then - in the film "Poison Ivy: A New Seduction."
World fame came to Ward after filming the famous TV series "Love and Secrets of Sunset Beach". The girl passed the casting and got the main role.
Susan starred in the project for two years, but then left it to pursue a career in big cinema. The actress was replaced, but in the last episodes, Susan returned to the series to the delight of her fans.
A career in film has not been as successful as in television. Ward starred in The Own Party, where she played the killer Brittany. Critics and audiences reacted coldly to the appearance of the film on the screens, the picture ultimately failed.
In the early 2000s, Ward starred in the film Love Is Evil, receiving a supporting role. Her partners on the set were actors G. Paltrow and J. Black.
This was followed by work in the TV series "Friends", as well as in the independent project "Student frenzy". But none of these roles brought Susan success. She returned to modeling and began appearing on the covers of fashion magazines. However, Susan did not stop filming the movie.
In his later career, Ward played roles in projects such as: "Wildness 2", "Gymnasts", "Criminal Minds", "Women's Club of Murder Investigations", "Chaos Theory", "Violent Crimes".
