Taylor Nigel John is a renowned British musician. Plays bass guitar, for a long time performed in the famous English band Duran Duran.
Biography
The future musician was born in June 1960 on the twentieth in the small British town of Solihull. After his birth, the family moved to Warwickshire, where young Taylor began his education. Since the family was religious, the boy was sent to the Catholic school "Our Lady of the Westside", he also attended Redditch Abbey High School. The boy had big vision problems, which forced him to wear large glasses. In general, few people could have imagined that a pop star and the idol of millions of girls would grow out of a little "nerd".
During his school years, he was very fond of militaristic themes, loved to play various war games, and also collected soldiers. Closer to graduation from school, John began to get involved in music. Roxy music became one of Taylor's favorite bands. Music took possession of the young man so much that he began to independently master playing the piano. Soon he assembled the first musical group, which was called Shock Treatment, but the group did not last long.
Musical career
In 1978, John Taylor and his school friend Nick Rhodes decided to create their own musical group. Despite the great popularity of hard rock in Britain at that time, the guys decided to play music in the style of pop and new wave. The band's name was inspired by the experience of watching the sci-fi movie "Barbarella".
The band's unusual sound, punk style in clothes and regular performances at concerts very quickly brought Duran Duran popularity. Just five years after its foundation, the group gathered thousands of halls. By the mid-eighties, the group was moving beyond the borders of their native Britain and becoming world famous. This success was largely due to the fact that Duran Duran was almost the first in the world to actively shoot videos for their hits. Energetic and melodic videos were shown on many TV channels around the world, and in those years there were practically no people who had never heard of this British team.
In the nineties, the group continued to acquire an army of fans, but in the mid-nineties, Taylor left the group for personal reasons. After a long absence, he returned in 2003 and today continues to perform independently.
Personal life
In the late eighties, the famous musician met a minor Amanda de Cadenet. In 1991, they had a wedding, and a year later a daughter was born, who was named Atlanta. The marriage lasted another five years, and in 1996, Amanda began to have an affair with Keanu Reeves. Soon the marriage fell apart, the daughter remained with John. The divorce was hard for the musician, it came to the point that he left the group in 1997. In 1999, at one of the parties, Taylor met Gela Nash, in March of the same year they got married and live together to this day.
