Robin Taylor is an American actor, known for his roles in the films "We Received", "Another Land" and "What Would You Do …". He also played the role of Penguin in the popular crime TV series Gotham.
Robin Lord Taylor was born on June 4, 1978. His film career began in 2005 with the short film God's Children of America, in which he played Mike. Throughout his acting career, he managed to take part in more than 20 projects, having both major and episodic roles in his arsenal.
Biography
Robin Lord Taylor was born in Shouville, Iowa, USA. His parents, Mary Susan and Robert Harmon Taylor, raised their child in strict Allied traditions.
Robin graduated from high school in the city of Solon. Even in his school years, he was distinguished by his incredible charisma and artistry, so he took part in student performances with pleasure. Then the young man had a dream to get a theatrical education and become a famous actor. Therefore, after graduating from high school, he entered Northwestern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in theater.
It is known that Robin Taylor's roommate in the university dormitory was Billy Akiner, who is currently known all over the world for his roles in the series Parks and Recreation and American Horror Story and also as the creator and host of the popular game show Billy on the Street.
Since 2000, Robin Taylor has lived in Manhattan, New York, where the series Gotham is filmed.
Career
Robin Taylor made his TV debut in 2005. Then he starred in the short film "God's Children of America" and the popular American police television series Dick Wolfe "Law & Order." A year later, Robin played a small, but very prominent role in the comedy directed by Steve Pink "We were accepted!"
However, this role was enough for the young actor to be noticed and more often invited to shoot various projects. In 2008, he starred in an episode of Life on Mars and then in the crime comedy Murder of a School President directed by Brett Simon, where he worked on the set with such famous actors as Bruce Willis, Misha Barton and Michael Rapoprot.
In 2010, Taylor played the role of punk in the music and dance melodrama "Step Up 3D" directed by John Chu. There, his colleagues in the shop were Rick Malambri, Alison Stoner, Sharney Vinson.
Robin Taylor also starred in the television series "In sight", "The Good Wife", "The Walking Dead" and other projects.
In 2014, Taylor was invited to play the role of Penguin (Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot) in Bruno Heller's crime series Gotham. The plot of the series is based on the life of characters from the comics of the DC universe. It is noteworthy that the director of the series in his interviews often noted that although the series is a fantasy on the crown of the beginning of Batman's path, it has nothing to do with DC. Taylor is an outspoken representative of sexual minorities. In 2014, during an interview for the worldwide popular magazine Glamor, he admitted that he has been officially married for 3 years, but there are no children yet. His chosen one is the famous production designer Richard DiBella. They have been together for over 10 years.
