Biography
The hometown of Evgeny Menshov is N. Novgorod, date of birth - 19.11.1947. Father and mother worked at the Avtozavod, they believed that their son would also connect his life with the production of cars. The family lived in a small wooden house not far from the factory.
Since childhood, Zhenya became interested in theater, went to the drama club, where he spent all his free time. This hobby played a role in choosing a profession: Menshov decided to become an artist. He easily entered the local drama school. His talent was noticed by teachers who praised the young student more than once.
After graduation, Menshov was invited to work at once 2 theaters: the Youth Theater and the Drama Theater. But V. Lepsky, the director of the school, advised Eugene to study further, and for this to go to the capital. Menshov did so, later he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater. This happened in 1971.
Career
After graduation, E. Menshov began to work at the Gogol Drama Theater. He received a little, but the actor did not care. Eugene became famous for his work as a TV presenter. Together with Angelina Vovk, they hosted the program "Song of the Year". The duo existed for 18 years (from 1988 to 2006), becoming a symbol of the transfer. The presenters toured a lot around the country and abroad, discovering a lot of talents.
Then the rights to the transfer were bought by I. Krutoy, the presenters were ordered to abandon improvisations and pronounce the words clearly according to the script. Then the program began to appear on different channels, and lost its monthly format. Later, Angelina and Eugene were asked to broadcast from behind the scenes, in the end, they both left the project.

Personal life
The first wife of E. Menshov - Natalya Seliverstova, the marriage lasted 18 years. The actor met Natalya during his studies at the Moscow Art Theater, they were classmates. The spouses did not have children.
In 1988. Menshov fell in love with Larisa Borushko, an actress of the drama theater. He left Natalia, leaving everything to her. With Larisa, they lived in a communal apartment, literally slept on the floor. Subsequently, the careers of both went uphill, friends helped the spouses. And soon the couple moved into a separate apartment. In this marriage, Eugene became a father: the couple had a son, Alexander. Larisa lived forty-three years, she died of cervical cancer.
After 1, 5 years, the actor got married for the 3rd time. His wife was O. Groznaya, who managed to save Menshov from deep depression. In 2015. Eugene died, the cause of death was kidney problems. The artist is buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
