Brené Brown is an American writer, psychologist, Ph. D., professor at the University of Houston. Founder of an online platform for training and professional development of psychologists and psychotherapists. Her research focuses on shame, vulnerability and getting out of difficult life situations.

After completing her primary education, Brené entered the University of Texas at the Faculty of Social Work. She graduated with a BA in 1995. A year later she received her master's degree. Then she entered graduate school at the University of Houston and in 2002 became a Ph. D.
