Initial position
The generation of Soviet people, born at the end of the 60s, had to go through all the cataclysms and troubles caused by the collapse of the Soviet Union. Mikhail Delyagin was born on March 18, 1968 in a family of engineers and technicians. Parents worked in an enterprise that was engaged in the production of products for the armed forces. From an early age, the child was in an atmosphere of love and goodwill. They didn't shout at him. We didn’t weave nonsense. They taught me to work and independence. Taught to respect elders.
Mikhail studied well at school. I was engaged in physical education. I got along with my classmates. He was not among the hooligans, but he did not give himself up to insult. Having received a certificate of maturity and a gold medal, he decided to continue his studies at Moscow State University. Parents advised Delyagin to choose an economic education. It so happened that after the first year he was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. The future economist learned from his own experience how the defender of the homeland lives and what difficulties he overcomes.
In his third year student Delyagin wrote a term paper on the formation of monopolies in a planned economy. At the competition, which was held at the Academic Institute of Economics, the student's observation and analytical calculations were noted and awarded him third place. In 1992, Mikhail received a red diploma from Moscow State University. It is interesting to note, as a student, Delyagin was among the experts involved who helped the famous deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR Boris Yeltsin.
Institute for Global Issues
The process of reforming the Russian economy proceeded in difficult conditions. Even among the supporters of the market economy and liberal values, there was no agreement. In the biography of Mikhail Delyagin it is said that in 1995 he defended his Ph. D. thesis. The topic of his research was the country's banking system. It was during this period that he held the position of a leading specialist at the Analytical Center under the President of the Russian Federation. It is important to emphasize that in his works Delyagin considers our country as part of the world space.
