On May 20, 1958, the future idol of millions of fans was born in the family of a military pilot in the Polish city of Brzeg. At the age of six, the boy and his family moved to Kiev, and a year later his father died tragically while on military duty. The Pomeranian ancestry associated with the residence of the paternal and maternal grandparents created the conditions under which Alexei often stayed with them. Later, having become a wealthy man, he carefully restored his roots from church books.
Guskov's sports childhood was replete with basketball, football, rowing and even weightlifting. And only at the age of sixteen, with the filing of a mathematics teacher and with the full approval of his mother, the young man completely changes his life credo, giving exclusive preference to theatrical skills, becoming an active participant in various school productions.
And then there were student performances at the Bauman Higher Technical School. However, from the fifth year, Alexei Guskov leaves the legendary university, which was caused by attending a performance with the participation of Alexei Petrenko, and from the very first attempt he enters the Moscow Art Theater School on the course of Viktor Monyukov.
The artist's professional activity begins with the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theater (1984-1986). The next two years were devoted to the stage of the theater on Malaya Bronnaya, then the stage of "Detective" for another three years became his theatrical home. From 1991 to 1993, the Gogol Theater became his place of work. And only the State Academic Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov from 1994 to this day stops the search for an artist.
