Biography
Valentin Nikulin, a mysterious actor with sad eyes, was born into an intelligent family of native Muscovites Yuri Veniaminovich Nikulin and Evgenia Brook. The family reigned love for literature and poetry, music, since the father of the future artist was a playwright, and his mother was a wonderful pianist, who herself loved to compose musical pieces. When the boy was 5 years old, a family drama occurred - the parents decided to leave. Valentine was brought up by his mother, sometimes he spent time with his beloved father.
Despite the fact that Valentin Nikulin early showed his creative talent and he gladly recited poetry, sang and painted, after graduating from school, the young man decided to get a law degree. He easily became a student of the law faculty of Moscow University and in 1957 successfully graduated from it, receiving a diploma of a professional lawyer.
During the years of study at the university, Valentin pondered for a long time about his future fate and, with the benevolent filing of his mother, decided to devote his life to art. He enters an acting studio at the Moscow art theater. In 1960, Valentin Nikulin completed his acting training and entered the service at the Sovremennik Theater, which became his second home. In the theater, the young artist was in great demand. His peculiar appearance, artistic charisma attracted the attention of directors and he played characteristic roles in the performances of the theater, popular at that time.
Creativity and career
Valentin Nikulin is known to a wide audience for his cinematic works. The actor first tried to act in films in 1961. Debut work - the film "Leap Year". then followed by brilliant work in the famous film "Nine Days of One Year", the excellent role of Dr. Gaspard in the fabulous film "Three Fat Men", the unforgettable role of Smerdyakov in Pyryev's epic film "The Brothers Karamazov". Valentin Nikulin starred a lot and enjoyed it. With the same pleasure, the audience watched films with his participation. He was very famous in the seventies of the 20th century.
The nineties ruined the lives of many Soviet people. Troubled times prompted many to choose emigration. Valentin Nikulin chose this path and left for Israel. On the Jewish land, the actor was expected to work in the "Gamiba" theater and a meeting with Mikhail Kozakov, who also emigrated to his historical homeland. After seven years of living in a foreign land, Valentin Nikulin returns to Moscow. In 1998 he again plays on the stage of Sovremennik and is waiting for proposals from Oleg Efremov, the director of the Moscow Art Theater. It was the artist's dream - to perform on the stage of the oldest theater.
Personal life
Valentin Nikulin had three wives. Unfortunately, he was sterile, but the children of his companions in life treated the artist like their own father. At the end of his life, Valentin Nikulin was seriously ill, he was looked after by his last wife Marina Ganulina. The artist finished his life in August 2005. The burial place of the ashes is the Donskoye cemetery in Moscow.
