The cult British television series, the screen version of the novels of the "detective queen" Agatha Christie. All series are united by a common protagonist - the brilliant private detective Hercule Poirot.
The plot of the series
Hercule Poirot, a Belgian native, has been living in London for many years. The absence of a family and a nasty, quarrelsome character do not in the least interfere with his hobby - the investigation of mysterious crimes. A keen mind, a penchant for observation and paradoxical conclusions made Poirot one of the best detectives in Royal Britain. Captain Arthur Hastings, his assistant, and Miss Felicity Lemon, his secretary, help him with the investigations. Often Poirot has to help an unlucky detective, senior police inspector James Depp. Investigating especially complicated cases (mainly murders), Poirot triumphs: each of his victories is one more proof of the superiority of the "gray cells" of the Belgian over the immobile brain of these prim British!

Alphabetical Murders Series
A mysterious serial killer selects his victims in letter order in the English alphabet. Carefully, following a plan known to him, he notifies Poirot of every next murder. Letters are signed by ABC. Neither Poirot's ingenious guesses nor the quickness of the police help to get ahead of the criminal! A railway alphabet reference book is found next to the corpse. Suddenly Poirot comes up with a brilliant guess: the killer is a salesman, a stocking seller! Soon, this hypothesis is confirmed when the wrong person is suddenly killed … The accused is really a stocking seller, and he appears to the police to confess. But he doesn't even know about any letters to the famous detective! And then the matter gets even more confused …
