"Daddy's Daughters" is a well-known Russian comedy series that has won the hearts of millions of viewers. Filming began in 2007. The series aired on the STS TV channel and more than once took first place in ratings there.
Plot
The plot of the series tells about the life of a lonely father with many children who works as a psychotherapist in a small private clinic - Sergei Vasnetsov and his five beloved daughters. They all live in an apartment where the main events of the film take place. But, unlike ordinary sisters, these are completely different from each other.
The script for the series was written by Vyacheslav Murugov and Alexander Rodnyansky.
The oldest, Dasha, was originally a goth. Later she changed her position, but not her “steel” character.
The second is Masha, the main beauty in this family, who simply cannot live without cosmetics and new clothes from the most fashionable brands. Masha is always full of fans. Her preferences, unlike Dasha, have not changed throughout the series.
The middle daughter Zhenya is a football player. With her unyielding character, she looks more like a boy than a girl.
The smartest of all five daughters is Galya, a girl who is not particularly beautiful and does not attach importance to her appearance. But she knows everything in the world and is an excellent student.
And the youngest is Polina. Her father and sisters constantly call her Button because she is the smallest in the family, but this does not bother her in the least.
Whatever the children of Vasnetsov do, he supports and understands them in everything.

The series gained such popularity that its authors decided to shoot a sequel. There were more characters, new heroes appeared, but this did not in any way affect the beautiful plot, which was only adorned with new faces.
Filming of the 20th season under the title “Daddy's Daughters. Superbrides”ended in 2012. The season was not logically over, and the last episode ended with the title "To Be Continued …". Nevertheless, in 2013, the management of the STS TV channel officially announced the closure of the project. According to the director general of the channel and the producer of Daddy's Daughters Vyacheslav Murugov, all the best from the project has already received its logical continuation. In its own way, the logical continuation of both this series and the "Voronins" was the series "The Last of the Magikyan".
In 2014, answering the question of whether he will star in the continuation of the series, the leading actor Andrei Leonov (playing dad) said: "No, it's over, and thank God!"
In addition, since 2008, Vyacheslav Murugov has repeatedly announced plans to create a full-length film based on Daddy's Daughters. It was even reported about the beginning of work on the script. However, filming was never started, and later the director of the channel made it clear that the film would not be released.
