Nastya Rybka is a notorious girl who wrote a book about how she managed to seduce a billionaire. In early 2018, she was arrested in Thailand and spent almost a year behind bars. At the beginning of 2019, she was detained in Russia.
Why Nastya Rybka is being pursued
Nastya Rybka is the bright pseudonym of Anastasia Vashukevich. She is a citizen of Belarus. In early 2018, Nastya became famous after the publication of her book, in which she talks about the seduction of a mysterious oligarch. The Anti-Corruption Foundation conducted an investigation, as a result of which it was possible to establish a close relationship between Nastya and billionaire Oleg Deripaska, as well as the existence of informal relations between Deripaska and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Prikhodko. Anastasia herself posted provocative photos on her social media page.
The scandal turned out to be very loud, but Rybka provoked the famous businessman even more, bringing new details of their romance to the public. In early 2018, Rybka, her teacher Alex Leslie (Alexander Kirillova) and several other girls were detained in Thailand on suspicion of illegally conducting sex trainings. Nastya spent almost a year in a Thai prison, but at the beginning of 2019 a trial was held and she received a suspended sentence, after which she was deported to her homeland.
Detention of Nastya Rybka in Russia
Anastasia Vashukevich and her teacher Alexander Kirillov were detained on January 17, 2019 in the transit zone of Sheremetyevo airport. Young people were sent to their homeland in Belarus, but were arrested by the Russian authorities.
On January 18, a video of Nastya Rybka's detention appeared on the Internet. Several people approached her and took her away in an unknown direction, having previously put them in a wheelchair. The video clearly shows how the girl resists. Rybka was detained on suspicion of involvement in prostitution. The reason was the statement of her former friend, known under the pseudonym Sasha Travka. It is believed that Travka wrote a statement under psychological pressure. Sasha claimed that Vashukevich forced her into prostitution.
A few days after the arrest, a trial took place and Nastya was released, as the evidence presented was not enough to bring charges.
Rybka's lawyer gave an interview in which he said that he knew in advance what decision the court would make. In Russia, very few criminal cases under such an article have ended in sentences with the imposition of real terms. Involvement in prostitution is a rather vague concept and strong evidence is needed in order to bring charges.
What threatens Nastya Rybka
Despite the fact that Nastya Rybka was released, she cannot leave the territory of the Russian Federation until some issues with the investigation are resolved.
The day after her release, Nastya was supposed to give a press conference, which was attended by more than 70 journalists. But Vashukevich did not appear on it, later explaining this behavior by severe fatigue.
Nastya stated that she did not intend to leave Russia even after the travel restrictions were lifted. Only deportation can make her leave the country. Experts do not give accurate forecasts about the future course of events. Most likely, Rybka will not be charged. But Oleg Deripaska can sue her for the dissemination of personal information and the girl is threatened with the payment of a large sum as compensation for moral damage.
In the courtroom, where the question of the further choice of a preventive measure was being decided, Vashukevich apologized to Deripaska and promised not to mention his name in the future, not to comment on their relationship. Her teacher Alex Leslie said that he did not consider the businessman and major Russian politicians involved in the arrests. In his opinion, the American special services can also pursue them. Perhaps the new line of behavior will allow Leslie and Rybka to smooth over the conflict with influential people.
