Conflicts are an integral part of life. They can occur anywhere: in the family, at work, in a store, on public transport. If you do not want to turn your life into a constant struggle for a place in the sun, it is better to learn how to deal with situations peacefully before they turn into an open quarrel.
Instructions
Step 1
Translated from Latin, the word "conflict" means "collision". Clash of needs, interests, opinions. In order to prevent the conflict from developing, always remember that your opponent has his own interests and needs that seem significant to him. If you want to end the fight before it even starts, give in or offer a reasonable compromise.
Step 2
Show the other person that you remember their interests. “Dear, I know that you wanted to watch this match so badly, but my mother invited us to dinner, it’s uncomfortable to refuse, I’m so sorry” - such a wording can help to avoid a violent quarrel.
Step 3
In case the opponent is determined to start a war and does not want to hear your arguments, interrupt the conversation. You should not do this demonstratively, if you do not want to humiliate or further inflame the person. Look at your watch, excuse yourself and leave, or pretend you have an important call. The next time you meet with the interlocutor, you can talk calmly, or completely forget about the cause of the conflict.
Step 4
If the fight does start, do something unexpected. Correct your interlocutor's tie, dance "Macarena", offer to cook pancakes. If your opponent is a person with a sense of humor, he will not continue to sort things out.
Step 5
Praise the person you are talking to. Even if his opinion is diametrically opposed to yours, say that you are very interested in what he says, and you would like to consider his words. Ask where he bought such a stylish jacket, remember that his talk last week was very exciting. This will dispel the tension between you.
Step 6
However, if you avoid conflicts too often and begin to notice that your acquaintances are pushing you around, think about whether a bad world is always better than a good quarrel. It may be worthwhile to insist on your own once, so that in the future, those around you will treat you with respect.
