Childhood years
Vladimir Semenovich was born in 1960 in the Belarusian Republic. The exact date of birth is not indicated in the sources. The family was far from the world of cinema. And the boy never dreamed of a performing career.
A television lecture based on the works of Anatoly Rybakov, which brought popularity to a charming boy, entered his life quite by accident. Young actors were selected for the filming of the mini-series "Kortika".
The assistant director dropped by the school where Volodya Dichkovsky studied. The agile and charming boy immediately attracted a professional. He invited the student to photo tests. He agreed more out of curiosity.
The boy did not attach any importance to what had happened to him. He forgot about the meeting almost immediately, as well as about the first film casting in his life. Together with his friends, Volodya went to the forest on mopeds for birch sap in the early morning.
When the company returned, representatives of the film studio were already waiting for Dichkovsky. The boy found out that he was approved for the role of Genka Petrov. Vladimir Semenovich remembered this moment for many years.

The role of the charming stubborn Genka Dichkovsky played brilliantly. Viewers saw a new picture in 1973. The adventure television project told about the events that took place in the twenties of the last century. The pioneers came across a sea dagger. Last role
On the set, young actors, like adults, were entitled to a fee for participation. The heroes of the miniseries were making very good money. Dichkovsky received a salary of one hundred rubles a month. Business travelers went to the money in addition.
Vladimir spent his first earnings on buying the coolest moped. Neighborhood boys could only dream of such a vehicle. It all seemed that Dichkovsky's acting future was already predetermined from above.
In 1977 the war drama Black Birch was released. The film tells the story of the lieutenant. In the battle near Minsk, he was wounded. The young hero ended up in a partisan camp. The life of the soldier was saved by Antonina Ivanovna, a doctor. She was soon shot by the Nazis for helping a Soviet soldier.
A few years later, the lieutenant tried to track down the orphaned son of his savior. In the film drama, Dichkovsky got a small role. He played a kid named Genka. The young actor did not receive more offers to play.
The directors lost interest in the once cocky and funny guy who had matured quite quickly. And the audience gradually began to forget about the star of the series "Bronze Bird" and "Dagger".
Life after cinema
At first, Dichkovsky did not even admit doubts that it was written for him to become an actor. On the street, fans were waiting for him, he was simply overwhelmed with letters, and the pictures taken earlier made him just an idol for many.
Vladimir tried to enter the theater school in Minsk. Here he learned that child artists are very complex material. They are not easy to retrain, they are ready-made performers. Even the intercession of a studio worker did not help.
After the first failure, Dichkovsky decided that a big cross should be put on the actor's career. He served in the army. Vladimir served in Moscow at the General Staff. There, the soldier got his license. After demobilization, screen Genka Petrov was offered to help in admission to VGIK.
However, the young man refused. He decided not to risk it and not tempt fate again. Vladimir Semenovich got a job in one of the private companies as a driver-freight forwarder. Dichkovsky in this capacity spent more than three decades at the wheel.
He does not regret his unsuccessful film career. His life is interesting and eventful in its own way. He told about this in one of the TV shows, in which he was invited as a once famous and popular young actor.
He is happily married. The matured Genka Petrov is not going to talk about his wife, her profession and his children. Nothing connects him with film activity. He's already used to his life. And the former actor does not plan to change this position.
