Every Internet visitor who is able to use a browser and is ready to spend five minutes on this procedure can get himself a mailbox for e-mail today. Typically, an e-mail address becomes the first permanent identifier of a new Internet user, a kind of "permanent registration". And the address of your own mailbox can be compared to the first words of a new web surfer, which you have to learn to write and remember.
Instructions
Step 1
Understand the structure of your e-mail inbox so that it will be easier to remember and write down. This address is divided into two parts by the @ sign, which in the Internet jargon in the Russian-speaking part of the network is usually called "doggy", and in the English-speaking environment it is denoted by the word at. To the left of this icon is the username of the mail service, also known as the account name. To the right of it write the name of the domain that identifies the mail service to which your email account is assigned. For example, in the email address [email protected] MyName is the username, and somePostService.ru is the domain name of the mail service
Step 2
Use copy and paste operations to spell your domain name using any of the computer applications. This is especially important when filling out various registration forms or ordering some services, as it significantly reduces the likelihood of accidentally making a mistake leading to rather sensitive consequences.
Step 3
The only non-standard character in an e-mail address that can be difficult to write is the @ (commercial at) sign. It is located on the keyboard on the same key where the number 2 is placed, and is inserted into the text by simultaneously pressing this key together with the Shift key. In this case, the English keyboard layout must be enabled. If for some reason you cannot use this key, then the "dog" icon can be copied, for example, from the "Symbol table" component of the operating system. It is invoked by pressing the Win + R key combination followed by entering the charmap command and clicking the OK button. In the window that opens, find this sign, double-click it, click the "Copy" button, and then paste it into the text you are typing.
