"Romantic hero" - this is how the music critics call Nikolai Lvovich Lugansky, who burst into the world of piano music. He was born in 1972 in Moscow, into a family that had nothing to do with music. His parents were far from art, being research workers at one of the Moscow research institutes. Mother and father did not know musical notation, but they loved classical music and chamber orchestras. It was they who were able to instill in little Kolya a love of piano music.
From an early age, the boy learned to play the piano. He had a toy instrument at home that helped Kolya to select the notes to the melody he heard. His parents saw it. Mother enrolled Kolya in a music school for the specialty of piano. For some time, the father was against his son's hobby, because he believed that he was losing his childhood. Instead of playing football, walking with friends, the boy devoted all his time to music. Then his parents did not yet know that the future great pianist was growing up in the family.
Nikolai's musical education began at the Central Music School in Moscow. His first teacher was Tatyana Evgenievna Kesner, who was able to instill in the boy not only the desire to play the piano, but also to love music. After graduating from school, Nikolai entered the conservatory under the wing of the new teacher Tatyana Nikolaeva. In 1997, he completed an internship under the direction of Sergei Dorensky and began working as a teacher at the Moscow Conservatory.
Musical career of Nikolai Lugansky
Lugansky's career as a pianist began with the Tchaikovsky Music Competition, where he took second place. Nikolai celebrated his first real victory at a competition in Tbilisi, when he won first place among the participants. This was followed by the award of the international competition in Leipzig.
Together with the teacher Tatyana Nikolaeva, Lugansky took part in a concert in Cannes. From this moment, his overseas career begins. Nikolay takes part in concerts all over the world.
