The economic potential of modern China is truly enormous. In terms of the output of important types of industrial and agricultural products, the produced national income, it is already in the top ten countries of the world. At the same time, the growth rates of both agricultural and industrial products in the PRC are extremely high and in the last decade have been among the highest in the world.

In just two decades of active reforms, the GDP of this country has increased almost sixfold, in fact, this means a sixfold increase in the country's economic potential. In China, the welfare of the population continues to grow and the general economic recovery continues. Capital construction is underway in cities, the government invests in the development of all industries. In accordance with government plans, by 2050 China will reach a level of development that can be compared with the industrialized countries of Europe.

Currently, several dozen nationalities live in China, of which fifty-six are officially recognized. Each nationality has its own customs, costumes and often with its own language. Moreover, all these nationalities make up less than seven percent of the population of the entire country. The remaining ninety-three percent of China's population identify themselves as Han people. Active modernization of society, interethnic marriages lead to the disappearance of differences between ethnic groups.

Despite the significant changes that are taking place in society, the Communist Party continues to enjoy the support of the popular masses. As long as the economy continues to grow, China's population is unlikely to deprive its leaders of support. The Chinese are characterized by a desire for order and stability, so the existing political system (which is gradually changing, giving the country's population more freedom) is unlikely to face serious upheavals in the coming years.
