Biography

The future footballer was born in February 1988 on the fifth in the small Romanian town of Carey. From an early age, the boy loved to play sports, especially he liked to play football. In addition, the future of the novice athlete was actually a foregone conclusion: his father Marius, as well as grandfather Alexander, were professionally involved in football, and Eric simply had to continue the dynasty of football players.

Despite the desire of the ancestors and the aspiration of Eric himself, the boy clearly lacked talent and did not manage to get a job in a solid football academy. The only place where he was accepted was the "School of Sports" academy. Several years of training under the supervision of professionals were not in vain, and young Bikfalvi began to progress. When he noticeably outgrew the level of his academy, he managed to get into the more respectable Kaiser school, in the same city of Karey.

Professional career

When Bikfalvy was seventeen years old, the breeders of the Fink Fenster football club drew attention to him. The Romanian club from the third league is certainly not the ultimate dream of a beginner footballer, but Eric at that time did not have much choice and went to a new club. Almost immediately, he signed the first professional agreement in his life with him. In the same season, he appeared in the main starting lineup and began to regularly play not only for the youth team, but also for the base. During the season, he appeared on the field 23 times and was able to score nine goals into the opponent's goal.

The results shown by Bikfalvi in the third division impressed the management of the club "Giul" (at that time playing in the main championship of the country), and at the end of the season Eric's transfer from Fink Fenster to "Giul" was agreed. Throughout the new season, Bikfalvi appeared on the field as a substitute and on rare occasions from the starting whistle. Sixteen matches at the highest level in the country forced the scouts of all the best Romanian clubs to take a closer look at the talented midfielder. Giul ended the season extremely unsuccessfully, they did not have enough points to stay in the top division, and from next year the players were preparing to play in the second league of Romania.

This gloomy lot overtook all the players of "Giula", except for the young and promising Bikfalvi, in the offseason he was intercepted by one of the best clubs in the country "Steaua" from Bucharest. The young footballer, of course, was acquired “for growth”: he is undoubtedly talented, his price is not high, but the athlete still lacks playing experience. He spent the first season in a tight rotation, almost never appearing in the main team. In 2008, the management decided to send the player to the second league, where he could take to the field more often and get game experience and practice. The Gloria club agreed to rent the midfielder, where Eric spent one season. At the end of the year, Bikfalvi recorded twenty-five matches and one goal scored by his opponent.

In 2009, the promising midfielder began to flirt with the main team of Steaua. He was more often released on the field in matches with outsiders, in some games he came out from the first minute. In total this season, he appeared on the field fifteen times.

The following year, Steaua went through some changes, and the head coach of the team decided to give Bikfalvi a chance. From that moment on, he actually entrenched himself in the starting lineup and spent two seasons "from bell to bell." The frequent appearance on the field in the framework of the main tournaments of the country, the noticeable progress and successes of the talented midfielder began to attract the attention of foreign scouts.

At the beginning of 2012, the football player's contract with the Bucharest club expired, the management did not consider it necessary to re-sign the player, and Eric became a free agent. In just five seasons at Steaua, he played 93 games on the pitch, in which he scored just three goals. He also won a silver medal in the championship and won the Romanian Cup in 2011 as part of the eminent club.

In the summer of 2012, Bikfalvi signed an agreement for three years with the Ukrainian club Volyn. For a year, he was recognized as the best player in the club, and in the next season he was able to become the top scorer of the championship (for a midfielder, this is almost an unrealistic achievement). Three years of playing in Ukraine came to an end, and the footballer again moved to another club as a free agent. This time he went to China, where he played for Liaoning Hongeng Football Club for one season.

In the winter transfer window of 2016, Eric moved to the Romanian club Dynamo from Bucharest, where he spent the rest of the season. Already in the summer of the same year, Bikfalvi packed his suitcases and voluntarily went to Siberia. He spent the beginning of the 16-17 season in the Tom team from the city of Tomsk. Probably the Romanian footballer did not like the local climate and in winter he canceled the agreement and moved to the Ural football club, which he still plays for.
