Step 1
Wait until the census enumerator visits your home if you do not plan to visit the census site.

But when answering the questions, keep in mind that their content may affect the adoption of important decisions for citizens, including you, at the state or local level. For example, based on the number of young children in a district, it can predict the future school needs of its residents. So, first of all, it is in your interests to tell only the truth and nothing but the truth. Typically, scribes are interested in age, gender, educational level, occupation, and similar information about you and your family members. So disclosing this information is unlikely to hurt you in any way. And your personal data is recorded only so that the scribes do not bother you again.

Find out where the nearest census site is located if you do not have the desire or ability to wait at home for the census taker. For example, if all of your adult family members work and spend weekends outside the home, the scribe simply won't be able to catch you. You can find out the addresses and opening hours of census points from the media, on websites dedicated to this event, in local authorities. Information about them is also usually posted in public places, on official notice boards, if they are provided in your area. For the convenience of workers, these points are usually open on weekends, so you don't have to ask your superiors to take part in the census.

At a convenient time, visit the census site and indicate your desire to take part in it. Take your passport with you just in case. You may need it to record that you have already been interviewed and no longer send scribes to your home. This will save both them and your time.
Step 6
Follow the instructions of the station employees: you will be taken to a free specialist who will record all the necessary information that you will be asked to provide about yourself and your family.
Step 7
Answer the questions they ask you. Most likely, the scribe will record your oral responses himself. However, they may offer and fill out a questionnaire - the form of the census may vary from time to time. With the answer to the last question, your participation in the population census will be completed.
