Pablo Escobar and his family have attracted the attention of people for many years. The history of the drug cartel and its crimes is known to almost every person who knows how to use the Internet. No less interesting is the further fate of Escobar's children, which over the years has managed to acquire a large number of conjectures and assumptions.
Biography of Pablo Escobar
The head of one of the most powerful cartels was an ordinary child from a poor family. Like many other boys in poor areas, he often traded in petty theft and trade in soft drugs. But there was something that still distinguished the future "El-Doctor" from the rest. Young Escobar had the traits of a leader, a steadfast and decisive character, as well as tenacity, cunning and cruelty. Thanks to these qualities, he quickly raised his authority among other hooligans in the city, and later even headed them.
Of course, petty theft and the sale of weed did not bring the desired money for a beautiful life, and this small but stable income was not enough for the growing ambitions of the future mafiosi. The leader of the already formed gang, Escobar, began to look for other simple, that is, of course, quick and illegal, ways of getting rich. Hooligans began to openly attack small shops and take out everything that was bad, they also began to clean cars and steal them.
But this soon became not enough for the bandits, they went further, once kidnapping an influential businessman in order to obtain a ransom. The losers ransomware plan failed and they simply killed their victim. The funny thing is that their failure turned out to be a considerable, although not material benefit for Escobar. He and his thugs are respected people among the ordinary poor.
The fact is that the kidnapped rich man was widely known "among the people" for his cruelty and greed, and his death was good news for all the offended and disadvantaged. It was this act that earned Escobar the nickname with which he continued to build his dizzying career: the inhabitants of the city began to call him "El Doctor".
Having tried to come to grips with the drug trade, Escobar quickly realized that of all the money that the cocaine business brings, he gets an insignificant part. Soon, his gang very bloody and brutal took over the coca plantations in the forests of Columbia, as well as laboratories for the production of a deadly potion, and the fortune of South America's most terrible criminal began to increase rapidly.
Later, he tried to partially legalize his business, had huge political ambitions and sought to seize power in the country. There are many photos on the network in which this bloody criminal poses in front of the cameras in the image of a decent politician and public figure. Escobar was demonstratively conducting charity events! In an attempt to negotiate with the Colombian authorities, he even offered to pay off the entire national debt of the country.
But despite all the tricks, attempts at bribery, intimidation and murder, at the end of his dizzying, but rather short career, Escobar was deprived of his former power and cornered. Through the joint efforts of the security forces of Colombia and the United States, the most influential drug lord was eliminated after an imprudent call to his son, through which Escobar was tracked down.
Escobar's family
Despite all the horrors that surrounded Escobar, he managed to become an exemplary family man and a loving father, like, by the way, many criminals, experiencing sentimental and by no means fake feelings for his wife and children.
This combination of extreme cruelty and insane, on the verge of obsession with love for his family, still surprises those who study the history of the drug lord. At the age of 27, he married a minor, Maria Vallejo. After just a year, they had a son, who was named Juan. A little later, the daughter of Manuela was born in the family of the criminal.
Manuela Escobar
The daughter of "El-Doctor" was born in 1984. Pablo Escobar was a very sensitive father, he madly adored his daughter. He went to great lengths to satisfy her whim. The famous story of the "unicorn" surprises and shocks with its cynicism and almost insanity. Once his beloved "princess" wanted a real "unicorn", and her loving father brought her the cherished animal. Escobar bought an ordinary horse, and then ordered his bandits to nail the horn to the head of the unfortunate animal, and sew wings to the body. The "princess" was overjoyed when she saw the outlandish animal, but then she quickly bored her. With severe injuries, the horse lived only a few days and died a painful death.
When Escobar was killed, Manuela was only eight years old, and most likely she did not fully understand who her father was. According to the assurances of people close to Escobar's family, Manuela, upon learning about her father's past, was deeply shocked. To date, nothing is known about her except speculation and rumors. One of the widespread legends says that the girl inherited billions of dollars from an odious father. No one can confirm this story, since Manuela disappeared from the field of view of the media, acquaintances and even relatives.
Juan Escobar
The firstborn of the "cocaine king", unlike Manuela, does not hide and even regularly talks with representatives of various Internet publications and other media. He lives with his mother in Argentina. In 2009, together, they gave their first major interview for the documentary The Sins of My Father.
Juan, feeling guilty for his father's actions, sincerely regretted that Escobar had staged a real terror in Colombia, publicly asked for forgiveness, and apparently, in childhood, he could not even imagine how much blood was on the hands of his caring and loving father.
