Since the publication of the first novel by J. K. Kathleen Rowling "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" on June 30, 1997 and for a long 10 years, the world has been seized by a real "Potteromania". However, books devoted to the adventures of the young wizard and his struggle with the powerful villain Voldemort still arouse the keenest interest of young and adult readers. In total, the Harry Potter series includes 7 books dedicated to his seven years of study at Hogwarts - a unique school of witchcraft and wizardry.
Instructions
Step 1
The Harry Potter novels have incorporated several genres at once, including fantasy and family reading, detective and melodrama. According to J. K. Rowling herself, the main theme of the novels is death, despite the fact that they were initially perceived as children's fairy tales.
Step 2
The first book in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone series really comes closest to a fairy tale. From it you can learn about Harry's origins, his not-too-happy childhood in a family of relatives of the Dursleys and the beginning of his studies at Hogwarts school. On the pages of the book, Harry finds his best friends - the cocky and not very lucky Ron Weasley and the smart, organized Hermione Granger. Here the first adventures also begin, which, fortunately, end happily.
Step 3
The atmosphere of fear fills the second book "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". This time, Harry and his friends have to face some unknown force, which ultimately turns out to be an ominous basilisk living in the secret room of Hogwarts. Here, Harry, at first without realizing it, penetrates into the secrets of Voldemort's past, who appears before him in the guise of a teenager Tom Riddle.
Step 4
The third book is called Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In it, Harry first encounters terrifying Dementors who suck all the joy out of a person, saves a hippogryph named Buckbeak from death and - most importantly - meets his godfather Sirius Black. Unfortunately, Sirius, who spent 12 years in the terrible prison of Azkaban on the basis of false accusations, is still considered a criminal and is forced to hide from persecution.
Step 5
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the story of growing up, first love and, unfortunately, the first real tragedy at Hogwarts. The reborn Voldemort, with the help of magic, forces Harry to take part in the "Tournament of Three Wizards", in the final of which a deadly trap is prepared for the winner. However, contrary to the expectations of the dark lord, two win the tournament - Harry Potter and his lucky rival in love, the handsome and noble Cedric Diggory. As a result, Cedric is killed instead of Harry. The final of the "Goblet of Fire" becomes a turning point for the entire series: from that moment on, it takes on a tragic connotation.
Step 6
Subsequent Harry Potter novels are devoted to the events of the Second Wizarding War, which begins after the return of Voldemort. A chain of deaths of favorite characters passes before the readers. In the fifth book - "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" - Sirius Black dies. In the sixth - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" - death takes away the director of Hogwarts - the wisest and most powerful Albus Dumbledore.
Step 7
The final book of the series - "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" - is dedicated to the decisive battle for Hogwarts, which takes the lives of the noble werewolf Remus Lupine, his wife Nymphadora Tonks and one of Ron's brothers Fred Weasley. In the finale, Harry manages to destroy the dark lord. In the epilogue, the reader sees the matured heroes - Harry, Ron and Hermione, accompanying their children to study at Hogwarts.
Step 8
All the Harry Potter novels have been filmed, becoming the most profitable series of films in the history of world cinema.
