Some citizens, which, by the way, include the residents of Russia, dream of moving to a permanent place of residence in Belarus. This is not surprising: good-natured, smiling, sympathetic people, clean cities, amazingly high-quality food, low cost of utilities and many other advantages have made the country a real oasis for many people in search of a "new homeland."
It is interesting that it is quite easy to move to the Republic of Belarus; the local migration legislation is especially loyal to immigrants from Russia.
Migration registration
Starting from the moment of entering the Belarusian land, any person has the right up to 30 days of free and legal movement on it without undertaking any actions to search for the possibility of registration, the notorious residence permit or the desired residence permit. In fact, the border of the country is in the status of free access and does not imply the setting of stamps on the time of entry into the territory of the state, assuming that you can live in such a “semi-legal” position for many years without being seen by the local migration services.
However, there is no need for this, because after the expiration of the prescribed 30 days, by providing a passport, a rental agreement or a certificate of registration, anyone who wants to emigrate, by filling out an application and paying the state fee, can become the happy owner of a "Belarusian green card" for another 60 days of residence, though, without the possibility of getting a job.
Labor migrants
If you want to work on the territory of the country without obtaining permanent citizenship, you can resort to obtaining a "work" visa, renewing it annually, you can settle for a long time in one of the Belarusian cities. To do this, you will need to acquire a rental agreement and an employment agreement, supported by the application of your chosen employer.
If there is no specific employer, the migration service must be provided with the passport of a Belarusian relative who is ready to temporarily shelter you.
Residence
It is most difficult for Belarusians to receive from birth, to persons married to citizens of the country, or if the person is a valuable professional who can interest one of the sectors of the economy of Belarus.
A residence permit implies a phased extension of this right for 2, 5 and 7 years, after which the applicant can apply for the honorary title of a citizen.
Unlike Russia, where the law on dual citizenship is still being considered, the migration rules of Belarus order to abandon the previously existing citizenship when accepting the citizenship of the republic.
At the same time, the following list of certificates and documents that must be submitted to the country's migration service have been legally approved:
- certificates from the drug and psycho-dispensary, - a certificate of the presence / absence of a criminal record, - the conclusion of the medical board, - lease contract.
Applicants go through the fingerprinting procedure and pay a fee not exceeding 500 Russian rubles.
