Biography
Victor Evgenievich Tsekalo was born in Kiev in 1956. His family bears a sonorous surname, and it became so largely thanks to the actor's younger brother Alexander Tsekalo. The boys' parents were Soviet engineers, and everyone wondered where the brothers got the ability to transform. And then it turned out that his paternal grandfather was playing in the theater studio at the Russian Drama Theater. And he had to stand on the same stage with a real celebrity - Lyubov Dobrzhanskaya. And this despite the fact that he was the director of a military plant and the pride of the whole family.
As a child, Victor was the protector of his younger brother: when Sasha was offended, he got into a fight, punished the offenders. But sometimes there were more of them, and then he got it. And so it was quite often - until the brother grew up.
After leaving school, Victor entered the Kiev Institute of Theater Arts, where he received an acting education. Like all Soviet youths, he was drafted into the army, but then he was discharged for health reasons. Gradually, the actor realized that he did not have enough education and that he wanted to expand the boundaries of his capabilities, so he entered the directing department at GITIS.
Career
This gave him the opportunity to work on television as an author and host of various programs. Until now, viewers remember his "Golden Goose", "White Crow" and "I erected a monument to myself."
If we talk about a career in general, then it is kind of "twitchy" for Tsekalo: that is, work, then no. It happened that he went on tour to America, acted in films in Moscow. And it happened that you had to stand behind the counter of a stall selling every little thing. There were also adventures here: the bandits attacked, and the acquaintances watched in horror as the actor was selling vodka.
In one interview, Victor was asked why he did not move to Moscow or the United States, although there was an opportunity. To which he replied that he loved his homeland too much to live abroad. And in Moscow - it just did not work out, no luck. He would like to be recognized and loved where he was born and lives, and not in a foreign land.
In addition to working in two philharmonic societies and many theaters, Tsekalo has experience in cinema, albeit in episodic roles. Now it is more and more series, the best of which are considered "Method", "Major 2", "Demons", "The Other Side of the Moon", "Consultant".
Personal life
Victor Tsekalo was married three times, from his first marriage he has a daughter, Maria. Now the actor is in a relationship with the Azerbaijani film director Mamedova Arzu Urshan kyzy.
