The remarkable artist Lyudmila Vasilievna Tselikovskaya was born on September 8, 1919 in a family of creative intelligentsia. Parents at that time lived in Astrakhan. My father worked as a conductor in the city theater. Mother served as a singer in the opera. Lyudmila grew up as a sickly child. According to experts, the local climate did not suit her. In the mid-1920s, following the recommendations of doctors, the Tselikovskys moved to Moscow. Here the girl went to a regular school, and at the same time attended a music school.

After receiving secondary education, Lyudmila tried to enter a music school. Parents assumed that their daughter would become a musician or singer, but fate decreed in its own way. She left music and entered the Shchukin Theater School. As a student, Tselikovskaya appeared on stage in the play "Servant of Two Masters", which was staged by one of the teachers. The next year, 1938, she was invited to shoot the film "Young Captains". The young actress in this project demonstrated the best facets of her talent.

On a creative wave

After graduating from college, the certified actress was accepted into the troupe of the Vakhtangov Theater. During the war, together with the theater troupe, Tselikovskaya was evacuated. Far from the capital, the film studios were working at full capacity. At that time she starred in the films "Air Carrier", "Ivan the Terrible", "Hearts of Four". In the film about Grozny, Lyudmila got the role of Tsarina Anastasia.

It is interesting to note that all the leading actors in this film received Stalin Prizes. Among the awardees was not only Lyudmila Vasilievna. They say that Iosif Vissarionovich personally deleted her name from the list of awardees. After that, the actress was less often invited to cinema and theatrical performances. Only in the early 50s, she returned to the profession, and played the main role in the movie "Jumping Girl".

Personal life scenario

The couple broke up just a few months later. The next husband was the writer Boris Voitekhov. Two years later, the love boat crashed into everyday life. When Lyudmila starred in the film "Air Carrier", next to her on the set was the handsome Mikhail Zharov. For more than five years they lived under the same roof.

The fourth official husband, named Karo Halabyan, was considered a famous architect. The actress could not explain why, but she loved him more than her other spouses. It was in this union that a son was born, who was named Alexander. In 1959, the architect died after a long illness. After a while, Lyudmila Tselikovskaya and the cult director Yuri Lyubimov began to live together. Sixteen years of marriage flew by like one day. They parted calmly, without scandals and mutual claims. In 1989, Lyudmila fell seriously ill. She failed to defeat cancer. She passed away in July 1992. The actress was buried next to her beloved husband Karo Alabyan.
