Childhood and youth
The future pop singer was born on September 4, 1942. The family lived at that time in the capital of the Bulgarian kingdom - the city of Sofia. My father served as the pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mother, a professional artist, was engaged in the decoration of the scenery in the capital's theater. The boy grew up and developed in an atmosphere of mutual love and respect. In childhood, Biser often spent the summer in his father's homeland, in the small mountain village of Chokmanovo. Here he got acquainted with folk songs and traditions of his ancestors.
From an early age, Kirov showed his vocal and musical abilities. Already at the age of five, he mastered the technique of playing the violin, and then the guitar. Bisser studied very well at the gymnasium and completed his studies with a gold medal. In 1961 he was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. It fell to serve the future composer in the artillery battalion. Returning to civilian life, he entered the specialty "Semiconductors and Dielectrics" at the Sofia Institute of Chemical Technology. It should be noted that both in the army and during his student years, Kirov did not give up music and vocals.
In the creative field
Biser Kirov's stage career began in 1967, when he was invited to join the Balkanton ensemble. A few months after his debut, the singer took part in the international youth festival of political songs "Red Carnation", which was held in the Soviet city of Sochi. Took part and won the third place. Over the years of his versatile creativity, Kirov gave almost five thousand concerts, of which about two thousand were in the Soviet Union. In his numerous interviews, he called Russia his creative homeland. The singer especially liked to perform somewhere in the outback, to sing for provincial audiences.
It is important to emphasize that the singer and composer was also warmly received in other countries of the socialist community. Kirov often performed in East Germany, Poland, and Cuba. Records of the voice of the Bulgarian singer were sold in large editions in the states of Eastern Europe. Biser has worked on Russian television for over seven years. He acted as a presenter of the children's programs "Golden Key" and "Wonderful Fairy Tale".
Recognition and privacy
As a composer, Bisser has written over three hundred songs in many European languages. For almost five years Biser Kirov served as an advisor to the Bulgarian Embassy in the Russian Federation. He was regularly invited as a member of the jury to various music competitions and festivals.
The maestro's personal life went well. Back in 1969, Kirov married Mitka Tsvetanova, with whom he studied at the institute. The husband and wife raised and raised two children, a son and a daughter. Biser Kirov died of a stroke in November 2016.
