The path to recognition

The biography of the future soloist began in 1942 in Sofia. The child was born on September 4 in the family of a pastor and artist. From early childhood, the boy demonstrated creativity. From the age of five he played the violin, at the age of 12 he mastered the guitar.

Bisser brilliantly graduated from the capital gymnasium in 1961. In 1963 the young man created one of the first rock groups in the country, Reflex. He not only became its soloist, but also directed it until 1989. The young man decided to continue his education at the Chemical-Technological Institute. He chose "Chemistry and Technology of Semiconductor Materials" as his profession. The future graduate decided to associate with the stage.

The singer successfully announced himself at the beginning of December 1966. He performed at the Student's Day in Bulgaria. The famous composer Maurice Aladzh drew attention to the talented musician. Biser was invited to the best orchestra of the country "Balkanton". The first concert with him took place in 1967, on March 14.

The performer called the beginning of his professional singing solo career on March 25. In the same year he took part in the First Youth Song Festival in Sochi. In the competition, he took third place. A year later, Kirov became the Singer of the Year in Sofia at the VIII World Festival of Youth and Students, winning a gold medal.

Success

In Barcelona in 1969, the vocalist was again the first to receive a special award from the organizers of the competition. Kirov became one of the most titled performers. He twice received the Grand Prix of the Golden Orpheus for the music in the song "Sonnet" and the performance of the composition "Be a Star", three times the vocalist became the laureate of the festival.

He owns the "Golden Lion" of the Leipzig Competition, awards of the Song Olympics in Athens, the Grand Prix at the International Dresden Festival and the Gala in Havana. The performer received a special Show Master award at the Irish Keven Festival. Bead was also awarded a special Intervision prize.

In 1976 the Bulgarian musician was named the best at the Golden Dolphin festival in Porec, Yugoslavia. At home, Kirov became the singer of the year in 1979, taking first place in the national television competition. In 1985 the performer received the title of Honored Artist of Bulgaria.

Biser entered the directing department at GITIS. He graduated from the studio of Joakim Sharoev, a soloist in 1990. He received the specialty of a director of mass performances. Then there was graduate school. In 1993 the vocalist created the production company Max ART International OOD and became its head.

In 1997, Kirov was awarded the honorary title of Legend of the Stage.

New facets of talent

For all the time of his activity he has created over 300 songs. Many compositions as interpreted by the performer are still popular today. For several seasons, the singer remained a soloist at the Berlin Friedrichstadtpalas. Critics and listeners were delighted with the velvety voice of the Bulgarian nightingale.

Since 1971, according to the Czech youth publication Mlada Fronta, Kirov has firmly occupied a place in the top ten pop superstars in Eastern Europe. The total circulation of released discs and records of Biser exceeded 7 million. He presented to fans 4 CDs, 15 records, sang in the best concert halls in the world, gave more than 300 concerts in Africa, Asia, was popular in America and Europe.

In the United States, he collaborated with Udi Herman and his famous orchestra. He sang with Karel Gott, Roy Orbison, Dean Reed. The latter gave the singer a hat for good luck, which has become an invariable attribute of Kirov's stage image. Biser also had a chance to collaborate with many wonderful musicians, poets and composers. He also worked a lot on television.

In Russia, he was the host of the Golden Key program. From 1995 to 2002 he was its director and producer. On the Kultura TV channel he hosted a children's program “Wonderful Fairy Tale”, was involved in the development of projects for several programs for kids. Kirov proposed a draft program "Abzhurd with Biser Kirov" ("friendship" is the opposite).

The vocalist has taken part in three documentary film projects. In the film 1984 "Pages of the Life of Alexandra Pakhmutova" he performed the song "The Bird of Happiness". The singer starred in the films "Good City" and "For You".

A family

In November 2006, he began work as a cultural advisor at the Embassy of his native country in Moscow, then as a Goodwill Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Russian Federation. He remained in this position until July 2010. After leaving the post, the musician again took up songwriting, released several new discs.

Personal life was also happy. Mitka Tsvetanova, a classmate at VKhTI, became his wife in 1969. They had two children. In 1971, the daughter of Ventsinos was born.

She chose a legal career for herself, was also involved in a television production and was an artist. In 1973, her younger brother Beads was born. He became a computer scientist. The famous artist has 4 granddaughters and a grandson.

The famous musician passed away in 2016, on November 6. During his howling career, he gave more than 4500 concerts. In 2017, at the beginning of September, the presentation of the musician's autobiographical book "The Song of Gratitude" took place in Sofia.

Since 2017, the Organizing Committee of the International Festival "Red Carnation" has been awarding the international prize named after the singer "For the contribution to the development and popularization of Russian songs in the world." It is presented at the Gala concerts of the festival.
