Childhood and youth
The future pop singer was born on December 4, 1931 in a military family. My father served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force. Mother worked as a civilian in aircraft repair shops. The child was taught from an early age to discipline and responsibility for their actions. When the war began, many boys tried to get to the front. Barashkov was no exception. He ran away from home and tried to enlist in the active unit in order to become the son of the regiment. However, the deception was revealed, and Lev was returned home.
After the end of the war, the family returned to the town of Lyubertsy near Moscow, where their father was sent for further service. At school, Lev studied well. He was actively involved in sports. Participated in the activities of the drama studio. Having received a certificate of maturity, Barashkov entered the Kaluga Pedagogical Institute. And on the student's bench, he did not leave his hobbies. He managed to play football for the regional team Lokomotiv. He did not miss classes at the student theater. The famous theater director Zinovy Korogodsky worked with novice actors.
Creative activity
After graduating from the institute, Barashkov did not have to work as a teacher at school. He was invited to serve in the troupe of the Kaluga Regional Theater. It was here that he learned the appeal of acting. To improve the level of acting technique, in 1956 Lev became a student of the famous GITIS. Four years later, the certified actor was accepted into the troupe of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater. In one of the performances, several songs had to be performed. Unexpectedly for his colleagues, Barashkov did an excellent job with this task. After this incident, he developed a taste for performing vocal numbers.
After some time, Lev was invited to become a soloist of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Blue Guitars". Critics at one time noted that Barashkov was not trained in the art of vocal. Natural abilities, an ear for music and a velvety baritone allowed him to perform songs in a confidential manner. After much hesitation, in the second half of the 70s, Lev Pavlovich began his solo career. The popular song "The main thing, guys, do not grow old at heart" became the visiting card of the performer.

Lev Barashkov is known to his contemporaries not only as a pop performer. He was invited to act in films. For his multifaceted work, the actor received the honorary title "Honored Artist of the RSFSR".
The personal life of the honored artist has developed well. Back in his student years, Barashkov married the ballerina Lyudmila Butenina. Husband and wife have lived their entire lives under the same roof. They raised and raised their daughter Anastasia. Lev Barashkov passed away in February 2011.
