Peter Ingvar was born in 1953 in the town of Kumle, Sweden. His parents' real name is Storm, and their son has already added the ending "are" to make it sound better. The result is a "rebel".

Peter spent his childhood in the town of Arbra, where he graduated from school. And immediately after that he left for the capital - to study as an artist.

Career in theater and cinema

He devoted eleven years of his life to the theater and was very successful on stage. However, it often happens that the cinema lures into its networks. It happened to Stormare. And this is not surprising, because at the very beginning of his career he was lucky to meet Ingmar Bergman - a great director, a celebrity recognized in the world of cinema. First, Peter appeared in an episode of the film "Fanny and Alexander" (1982), and then in the film "Figurine, Noisy on the Platform" (1987) played a more significant role. An absurd, tragic and at the same time funny plot tells how difficult it is to promote your ideas in this world.

In parallel with the filming, Stormare played on stage, and in the early nineties he was invited as a theater artist to Tokyo, offering to run the Globe Theater. Here he staged mostly Shakespeare's plays and played in them himself.

The paths of the actors are unknown, and sometimes they themselves do not know where fate will throw them. So Peter did not expect to move to New York, but this happened in 1993. He started acting in the theater, now in English. Having no connections in the film industry, the actor went to auditions and left photos in agencies. A special place in Stormare's portfolio is occupied by the film Dancer in the Dark, where he played a man in love with the heroine Bjork. The actor himself says that this is one of his favorite roles.

Personal life

Peter's first wife is American actress Karen Sillas. They lived together from 1989 to 2006, then the marriage broke up. There were no children in the family.

Even before this wedding, Peter had a girlfriend in Sweden who gave birth to his daughter Kelly.

Now Stormare is married to a Japanese woman Tashimi, they have a daughter, Kaia Bella Luna, who was born in 2009.
