“Not the same youth today! Nowadays …”Some have probably heard these claims from the elderly, who, being young, themselves probably heard something similar from their own parents and grandparents. And what is the youth of Russia now, what are their hobbies, values?
Instructions
Step 1
Representatives of the older generation are often convinced that today's youth have gotten off their hands, that is, they behave in the wrong way, wear the wrong clothes, listen to the wrong music, and get carried away with the wrong things. All people, regardless of age, are different, so there are no averaged, stereotyped indicators related to youth. Nevertheless, the results of opinion polls and studies allow us to judge what is important for today's young people, how they prefer to spend their free time.
Step 2
The vast majority of young people simply cannot imagine life without a computer. They spend many hours every day in various forums or blogs, conduct discussions (sometimes very emotional), or are fond of computer games. Sometimes they are so captivated by virtual life that they can hardly distinguish it from reality. And this can lead to negative consequences.
Step 3
Young people pay a lot of attention to communication with friends, like-minded people. And not only on the Internet, but also live, for example, in clubs, or participating in role-playing games. The most popular topics of conversation among young people are: music, cars, fashion, hobbies and entertainment.
Step 4
Modern youth, in contrast to their peers during the Soviet era, attach great importance to material well-being. Many young people want to get a job in high-paying positions and make a good career. Moreover, if the so-called "golden youth" rely on the help of influential parents or other relatives in this, their other peers rely on their own strength. Some students study hard to become good specialists, and even before graduation they look for a place for future work.
Step 5
Today's youth reads much less than before. Alas, Russia did not inherit the proud title of the most reading country, which once rightfully belonged to the USSR.
Step 6
The same applies to physical education, sports. Compared to the times of the USSR, the number of physically weak young people who have a whole bunch of health problems has sharply increased. This is partly due to the sedentary lifestyle, due to the passion for the same Internet. However, recently the situation has begun to change for the better. This was largely due to the triumphant performance of the Russian national team at the home winter Olympics in Sochi, which aroused interest in sports among young people.
