The future Russian politician and statesman was born in the village of Alekseevka, Saratov Region on February 4, 1964. Vyacheslav's father was a captain of the river fleet, his mother worked as a primary school teacher. In the first years of his life, the boy was raised by his grandparents.
In 1986 Volodin graduated from the Institute of Agricultural Mechanization in Saratov. Studied at the Faculty of Organization and Technology of Machine Repair. Specialty - "mechanical engineer". During his studies, Vyacheslav became involved in social activities. He headed the student trade union committee and was the commissar of the student detachment.
