The future businessman, politician and philanthropist was born at the end of May 1968, in Yerevan. Who his parents were is not known for certain, but they had nothing to do with business. But their son from childhood showed leadership qualities, was a little hooligan, but studied perfectly in all school areas. He graduated from secondary school in 1985, and with the "Gold Medal". Immediately after graduation, the young man went to Moscow, where he was easily admitted to the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, but he studied for only a year, then he was called up for military service in the SA.
Nevertheless, Vardanyan received a red diploma from Moscow State University. After serving in the army, he returned to the university, successfully graduated in 1992, becoming a professional economist. Ruben Karlenovich completed an internship in America and Italy. The knowledge gained was not enough for him. In addition to Moscow State University, later Vardanyan studied at Harvard, Yale University, and Stanford. This is the person who constantly strives to improve and develop, to gain new knowledge. It is noteworthy that he literally demands the same from those around him. The future businessman began her career in 1991, while still a student at Moscow State University. Then he became an expert in economics, and then headed a whole department in the governing apparatus of Troika Dialog. After receiving his degree in economics, Vardanyan headed the company, headed the board of directors until 2012, when his brainchild was sold to a leading Russian bank.

The businessman is happily married for a long time. His wife was Veronika Zonabend, also a graduate of Moscow State University. The couple have four already grown children. One of the sons of Ruben and Veronica took part in the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh during the so-called "April war". The children of the Vardanyan couple are already adults, who they are and what they do is unknown. They are far from social life, like their parents, they do not like attention from journalists.
