Carol Vorderman, whose full name sounds like Carol Jean Vorderman, was born on December 24, 1960 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. Her parents, Anton Vorderman and Edwina J. Davis, broke up just three weeks after the baby was born.

Mother took Carol, her brother Anton, sister Trixie and left for her hometown of Prestatin, North Wales. Carol Vorderman's next meeting with her father took place 42 years later.
In terms of education, Carol attended Blessed Edward Jones Catholic High School in Rila. She then attended Sydney Sussex College, Cambridge University, where she studied engineering.
Career and creativity
Carol Vorderman's professional career began as an engineer at the Dinorvig power plant in Wales. She later tried herself as a backing vocalist, performed on the radio and even worked in the service center of the UK Atomic Energy Agency.
