Biography

The future rock musician Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalok was born on January 19, 1972. The rocker's father served in the armed forces of the USSR and was constantly on business trips. And at the time of the birth of his son, the family was in friendly Germany in the city of Dresden. After "abroad" the father had another business trip to Siberia, and only eight years after the birth of his son, the family returned to their homeland in Belarus.

Since childhood, Sergei was predisposed to music and creativity. At the same time, he did rather poorly at school and often hooligans. Not wanting to study the exact sciences, the future musician willingly participated in amateur performances, and only thanks to this he was able to finish school. After graduation, Sergei entered the Institute of Culture and Arts, which he graduated quite easily.

Musical career

In the late 80s, Sergei Mikhalok gathered his own musical group "Lyapis Trubetskoy", which was named in honor of one of the heroes of the novel "12 chairs". For five years, the collective played at amateur festivals and gave concerts in small houses of culture. In the mid-90s, the group had a director who was seriously engaged in the promotion of "Lapis". Already in 1996, the first numbered album of the "Wounded Heart" group was released.

The band begins to receive their first royalties and arranges a tour. By the end of the 90s, the group released another album, "You Threw". Audio cassettes with new material are delivered to Russia, and Lyapis Trubetskoy, headed by Sergei Mikhalk, becomes wildly popular at home. In total, thirteen full-length works have been released during the existence of the collective, including the soundtrack to the popular television series Men Don't Cry.

In 2014, "Lapis" ceased to exist, in the same year Mikhalok took up a new project, Brutto. The music of the new group has become much heavier, and the lyrics are more topical. Over the four years of the team's existence, four albums have been recorded, and some of the songs have already become hits.

Since the summer of 2018, Mikhalok, together with the guitarist of the Okean Elzy group, launched a new project - Drezden, and in August the debut album of the same name was premiered.

Sergei Mikhalok was married twice. The first wife of the famous artist was Alesya Berulava; in this marriage, in 1995, the son Pavel was born. Today Sergei is married to the famous Belarusian theater actress Svetlana Zelenkovskaya. In November 2013, they had a son named Makar.

Since 2014 he has been living in Ukraine. Due to criticism of the Belarusian government and the country's president, Alexander Lukashenko, the artist was forced to leave the country. Since 2011, the Lyapis Trubetskoy group has been on the black list of the Republic of Belarus.
