Racism is a body of thought that is based on statements about the mental and physical inequality of human races, as well as the impact of differences between them on history and culture. This problem of humanity has existed for a long time and continues to this day.

Step 1
Currently, there are various manifestations of racism in the world. The first of these is a negative attitude towards racial minorities living in a particular territory. These minorities are most often representatives of the Negroid and Jewish races. For a long time, Caucasians belittled the dignity of blacks, who had long been considered slaves, and repeated genocide was committed against the Jews, which reached its peak during the Second World War.
Step 2
For Russia and some other European countries, the manifestation of racism is characteristic in relation to the representatives of the Caucasian, Armenoid, Mongoloid and other races, who are gradually settling in various territories. The reasons for racial hatred are differences in appearance, lifestyle, religious and other beliefs of people. The so-called territorial racism reaches its peak in those territories where national minorities begin to exert a noticeable influence on the way of life and thinking of the indigenous population, where cultures are intertwined.
Step 3
In modern society, the concept of sports racism has emerged, which manifests itself during major sports competitions between different countries. This problem is especially acute in the world of football: football fans often initially show strong aggression towards members of the opposing team, and if it includes representatives of other races, this can lead to serious clashes both with the fans of the other team and with its players during time of football matches and after them. That is why the International Football Federation FIFA annually fights against the manifestation of racism, organizing special events and flash mobs to establish friendship between representatives of different countries and cultures. The same methods are used by the International Olympic Committee and other sports organizations.
Step 4
Various forms of struggle against racism on the part of civil society have spread in Russia. There are various human rights organizations that monitor the situation in this area, conduct scientific research and put forward legal initiatives. For example, there is the Moscow Bureau for Human Rights, which publishes a regular report on this topic, and the organization “I don’t want to hate!” Fights against racism in St. Petersburg. Every year, both in Russia and around the world, rallies and other mass events are held against the problem of racism.
