Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova began her career with a loud statement of herself at junior competitions. In 2006, when she was 14 years old, the now famous Russian tennis player won prizes at the Australian Open. She participated in both singles and doubles competitions. During the singles final, Nastya managed to bypass 15-year-old and promising Caroline Wozniacki. In the doubles competition, she was with Sharon Fitchman on the court, and together they won a landslide victory.
