The famous theater and film actor Vladimir Etush was remembered by the audience thanks to his roles in films that have become classics. He devoted many years to teaching at the Shchukin School.
Early years, adolescence
Vladimir Abramovich was born on May 6, 1922. The family lived in Moscow, they were considered sufficiently wealthy. His parents were Jewish by nationality. My father was a traveling salesman, during the NEP years he opened a haberdashery shop. Mother was a housewife, then worked as a cashier.
As a schoolboy, Vladimir was interested in theater, took part in an amateur circle, participated in performances. After school, he entered the GITIS department of directors, but unsuccessfully. Thanks to his friends, Etush became a free listener at the Shchukin School.
In 1941, Vladimir went to the front. At first he studied at the school of translators, then served in the Transcaucasus. For military services, Vladimir received many awards. In 1943, Etush was seriously injured, after the hospital he was discharged.
Career
In 1944, Vladimir continued his studies. After graduating from college, he began to work in the Vakhtangov theater, and also was an assistant teacher in his educational institution. In 1957 Etush was the leader of the first year, then he became a professor. In the period from 1987 to 2003. Vladimir Abramovich was the rector, in 2003 he was appointed artistic director at the Shchukin School.
In the theater, Etush first played small roles, then he began to get more complex characters, for example, in the productions of "Millionaire", "Trap". However, most often Vladimir was instructed to play in comedies.
In the movie, the actor made his debut, playing in the movie "Admiral Ushakov". In subsequent years, he starred a little, appearing only in 3 films: "The Chairman", "Summer Vacation", "Gadfly".
Popularity brought the role in the movie "Prisoner of the Caucasus". To play convincingly Comrade Saakhov was helped by the service in the Transcaucasus. The success was overwhelming, the actor began to receive numerous offers for filming in comedies.
Etush went on to star in Gaidai, appearing in his other films. The actor played in fairy tales many times. In total, Vladimir Abramovich has more than 40 film roles. In 2014 he appeared in the remake of "Prisoner of the Caucasus", in 2016 he starred in the movie "The Best Girl of the Caucasus".
Personal life
The first wife of Vladimir Abramovich is Ninel Myshkova, daughter of a lieutenant general. They met in 1945 at the Shchukin School. Etush was a graduate, Ninel was a freshman. The marriage did not last long. Later, Etush had a relationship with Izmailova Elena, an actress, but they were not officially married.
For the third time, Vladimir Abramovich married Krainova Nina, she taught English. The marriage lasted 48 years, in 2000 Nina Alexandrovna died of cancer. Etush's daughter Raisa became an actress, lives in the USA.
At the age of 80, Vladimir Abramovich married again, Elena Gorbunova became his wife. Like Nina Aleksandrovna, she is also an English teacher. Elena is 42 years younger than her husband.
