Russian director Sergei Loban created a grotesque film in two parts "Chapito Show". The whole picture, consisting of four separate plots, is permeated by a certain absurdity and eccentricity, uniting all the lines and all the characters. The tent-booth of the film will be spread over the whole world, real and imaginary.
Imagine a singing Tsoi and a fabulous unicorn wandering among the audience. The ingenious Mamonov will tear your soul apart, but, of course, deserve forgiveness in the end. There is no generally accepted moral in this picture, you will not get a clear and “correct” ending with a clear conclusion. A person's desire for self-realization is accompanied by the absurdity of actions and phenomena. Lies and greed are conquered by stupidity and disorganization.
The film is divided into four stories. They all tell about travels to the sea, but the themes are different: friendship, love, respect, cooperation. The short stories tell about heroes who make their way to a small resort town. All of them have moments that change their ideas about life and destiny itself.
The plots develop in parallel. In one story, the character is the protagonist, in the other - an inconspicuous and insignificant frame.
"Love". A young man and a girl living in the unreal world of the Internet liked each other in communication. They decided to meet in real life, the girl invited a guy with the nickname Cyberwanderer to accompany her on a trip to the sea. But when she saw him, she woke up from her dreams.
"Friendship". A guy who has serious hearing problems dreams of friendship with "normal" peers. He abandons his old friends - the company of the deaf and dumb, finds new comrades and goes to sea with them. Of course, the difficulties and problems that arise make the trip not as pleasant as it seemed to him.
"Respect". A certain theatrical genius, played by Pyotr Mamonov, is depressed due to a creative crisis. He is trying to straighten his life with the help of his long-abandoned son. Together they make a trip to the mountains to the sea. The teenager is trying to win the respect of his talented father.
"Cooperation". The Erzats Star project and its producer are looking for doubles to replace the deceased idols. Pseudo-Choi and his sponsor go on their premiere tour, of course, to that resort town that attracts other heroes of the film.
The sea, Crimea, Shapito and the clash of hopes, goals, thoughts, ideas, feelings of such different characters - you need to see and digest all this! An ambiguous picture of those that have not been forgotten for many years and are constantly re-evaluated.
