Biography
Igor Konstantinovich Efimov was born in the city of Leningrad on the first day of September 1932. His father Konstantin Petrovich was a participant in the Great Patriotic War. He did not live to see the Victory quite a bit, he died in March 1945. Igor Konstantinovich's mother Valentina Maksimovna was an engineer.
The boy's artistic abilities were noticeable even in childhood. Even then, he skillfully imitated his favorite actors. When Igor went to school, here he participated in amateur performances, and then went to the House of Pioneers. Here he studied in the famous drama club. At one time, future movie stars studied acting here. After graduating from school and receiving secondary education, Igor Efimov decided to go to the Faculty of Shipbuilding.
But here, too, the young man managed to show his creative abilities. He participates in student amateur performances, plays the main roles in performances. But the future actor does not give up classes in the circle of the Leningrad House of Pioneers.
After studying for 2 years at the Institute of Shipbuilding, the young man finally decided on his choice of profession. He decides to leave this institution and go to Moscow. In the capital, the future dubbing master entered the Shchukin School at the acting department.
After graduating from this educational institution, Igor Konstantinovich went to his native Leningrad, where he was enrolled in "Lenfilm" as an actor.
Creative career
Not everyone knows that the filmography of Igor Konstantinovich includes more than 100 films. But the roles in them were mostly small. The actor can be seen in the films: "Charlotte's Necklace", "Dauria", "Weekdays and Holidays", "Treasure Island" and others.
Efimov also participated in radio shows, was a master of dubbing.
Personal life
Igor Konstantinovich Efimov had a family. The wife gave the actor a son, who was also named Igor. The boy was born in 1967. The son followed in his father's footsteps and still works as an actor, duplicates roles. Efimov Jr. is also a theater director, teacher, screenwriter and musician.
In 1992, a granddaughter, Olga, was born to Igor Konstantinovich Efimov. She is now also a dubbing and theater actress.
Igor Konstantinovich managed to nurse his granddaughter. He died when the girl was 8 years old. The famous master of dubbing was buried in St. Petersburg at the Northern Cemetery.
Unique voice
During his career, Igor Konstantinovich voiced many actors. He helped the release of several films, the premieres of which were nearly canceled due to tragic circumstances. So, the actor Vasily Shukshin died during the filming of the film "They Fought for the Motherland." Therefore, he did not have time to voice his role. But Igor Efimov did it for him, surprisingly conveying the timbre of Shukshin's voice.
The film "Cold Summer of 1953" was the last for Anatoly Papanov. He passed away while the film was still pending. Therefore, in some scenes, Igor Efimov speaks for Anatoly Papanov. And the voices of these two actors are almost impossible to tell. Igor Konstantinovich also voiced Armen Dzhigarkhanyan in the film "Dog in the Manger", spoke instead of Bronislav Brondukov in the TV series about Sherlock Holmes.
