Society is a historically evolving collection of people linked by various relationships. The development of society cannot be stopped in time.
Society is not just people, but individuals. Each of them pursues its own interests, has its own opinion and seeks to solve the problems that arise in front of it in the ways that are most convenient for it. The interests of people or their groups are constantly colliding. Conflicts arise that are resolved through mutual agreements and concessions. This is called consensus. People, conferring and communicating with each other, decide how to be and what to do. In a historical context, this leads to the fact that society acquires a single vector of movement, which it follows, perhaps without realizing it. This vector changes if some particular group of individuals believes that the general direction is wrong. Sometimes people appear in society who are able to lead people with the help of their charisma, knowledge, and skills. The role of the individual in the development of society is a controversial point in sociology. But the names of great ancient philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato, or military leaders like Napoleon and Alexander the Great, cannot be forgotten. These people personified the era to which they belonged. At the level of instincts, a person seeks to change his environment for himself, making it more convenient and suitable for life. In the early stages of development, society simply sought to survive by obtaining food for itself and making the first tools of labor. Today, humanity cannot imagine itself without computer technologies and various methods of transmitting data at a distance, which are constantly being improved for the greatest convenience. The objects surrounding a person determine his personality and vector of thinking, so he does not just use objects that have already been made before him, he seeks to make them even better or to invent and make new ones. The development of society will never stop as long as each of the people develops himself, allows other people to do this and seeks to change the life around him.
