Biography

Lyudmila Ivanova in 1933 in Moscow and was brought up in an intelligent family. Her father was an explorer of the Arctic, and her mother worked as a stenographer. At the age of 16, Lyudmila Ivanova decided to enter one of the acting universities in Moscow, since she had long dreamed of a stage career. At the auditions, she was greeted cool: the girl unsuccessfully read a dramatic monologue. Only with another of many attempts she managed to enter the Moscow Art Theater School. But the years of study turned out to be difficult: in 1952, his father died. Soon the mother and grandmother of the aspiring actress passed away.

Lyudmila Ivanovna coped with everything as best she could. She successfully completed her studies in 1955 and began working at the All-Russian Touring Theater, where she played mainly in children's plays. In 1957, at the invitation of Oleg Efremov, the actress moved to the Sovremennik Theater. It was here that Lyudmila's talent for playing the roles of older women was discovered. In 1958, Ivanova made her film debut, playing in the drama "Volunteers". In the 60s, she also starred in the films "The Road to the Sea", "A Bridge is Being Built" and others.

The most famous of the more than a hundred roles of the actress came in 1977. Director Eldar Ryazanov invited her to appear as Shurochka in the comedy "Office Romance". The picture became truly legendary, and all its actors, including Lyudmila Ivanova, became famous throughout the Soviet Union. In subsequent years, the actress starred in such films as "Seraphim Island", "The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin", "Chance" and many others. She remained in demand in the 90s, as well as in the early 2000s. She is well remembered for her roles in the films Promised Heaven, The Master and Margarita, The Envy of the Gods, etc.

Personal life and death

The first husband of Lyudmila Ivanova was the future director of Sovremennik Leonid Erman. Then she "jumped out" to marry the scientist and musician Valery Milyaev. In this union in 1963 the son Ivan was born, now the artist of the theater "Impromptu". In 1970, the youngest son of Lyudmila and Valery was born, who was named Alexander. Alas, at the age of 40, he died of a heart attack.

The eminent spouses were very upset by the death of their son. Valery soon fell ill and died. After that, Lyudmila Ivanova's health deteriorated greatly. She stopped acting in films, but for some time she worked at Sovremennik. In addition, the actress was diagnosed with diabetes, which led to complications. On October 7, 2016, Lyudmila Ivanovna died in one of the hospitals. The famous actress was buried at the Pyatnitskoye cemetery next to her husband and son.
