Childhood star

Liam was born into a family with Irish roots to Moya and Bill Aiken, producer of MTV, in the very beginning of 1990, on January 7th. The father worked, the mother took care of the house and the child, but it soon became clear that Bill was terminally ill with cancer. So the childhood of the future actor was overshadowed by tragedy - when he was two years old, his father died.

From his early years it was clear to everyone around him that Liam Aiken was a born actor. He easily reincarnated in various images, constantly amused his friends and relatives with scenes, freely performed in front of an audience. Soon, at the age of seven, he even got a small role on Broadway in the play "A Doll's House". This served as the impetus for his creative career.

The boy, who knows how to stay in front of the cameras absolutely naturally, was noticed on television. Liam first appeared on the screen as an actor for the advertising campaign for the Ford Motor Company, and immediately he was invited to play a small role in the film "Henry Ful" in 1997.

Mother in every way contributed to the development of her son's career, especially since she did not have to pay for his education, he communicated with famous people and could see the world.

Actor's creativity

In 1998, the drama "Stepmother" was released, in which Liam played the role of the protagonist's son. This painting was the finest hour for young Aiken Liam, and he even received a prestigious award for his work. After the success, they began to invite him to all kinds of projects, but Moya, the mother of the young star, was careful about the proposals, selecting only those that, in her opinion, could not harm the psyche and education of her son.

As a result, until 2000, the boy appeared only in an episode of the series Law & Order and in a short film. In 2000, producer David Hayman was casting for the role of Harry Potter for his iconic saga, and Liam became one of the main candidates. The fact that he was not of British descent prevented the young actor from playing this role - the writer J. K. Rowling insisted on this condition for the performer of the role of Potter.

Liam's next successful project was the exquisite 2001 melodrama Sweet November. The cast was full of stars: Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron, Jason Isaacs. Moreover, the picture itself failed and was nominated for the "Golden Raspberry" (prize for the worst film), but the career of Liam, "the only one who can be trusted in this film", according to critics, went uphill. In 2008, Aiken applied to the University of New York to study television and film.

Present time

To date, the actor has more than 30 roles in films and TV shows, several prestigious awards, and he continues to write all new acting works in his biography. Liam loves to play the guitar, lives in New Jersey, is not married, is very attached to his mother and does not disclose any details of his personal life to reporters.
