Up to half a million road accidents are registered annually in Moscow and the Moscow region. Therefore, it is not surprising that sometimes traffic police officers have to wait for hours. Do not despair: if the accident is minor, you have the right to write a detailed description of it and deliver it to the nearest traffic police department yourself.

Instructions

Step 1

After an accident, the first thing to do is to check for casualties. If there is, provide them with all possible first aid, put up an emergency stop sign, turn on emergency lights and only then call the traffic police.

Step 2

If there is a payphone nearby, dial "02", introduce yourself to the dispatcher and briefly outline the situation, answering his questions. Usually these are questions about the presence of victims and their condition, and about the situation on the road.

Step 3

If there is no payphone nearby, use your mobile phone and dial the universal rescue service number 112 to call the traffic police. The operator will redirect you to the traffic police service for the Moscow district in which the accident occurred. In addition, some carriers support the following emergency phone numbers:

- "Beeline" - 911;

- "Megafon" - +7 (495) 02;

- "ASVT" - 999.

Step 4

If all these phones are currently busy, and business is urgent, dial 937-99-11 (traffic police rescue service) or 208-34-26 (Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow) from a payphone or cell phone.

Step 5

If your mobile phone crashed during an accident, or you lost it at the scene, contact the witnesses of the accident with a request to call the indicated numbers. For the same purpose, you can try to stop passing cars and ask the drivers to call the traffic police or drive to the nearest post and report an accident.

Step 6

In the most extreme case, call the insurance company immediately, and not the traffic police, as it should be in such cases. Explain the situation and ask to get through to the traffic police.

Step 7

If the accident is insignificant, then you have the right, by agreement with other participants in the accident, to issue it yourself, making a detailed description using witness testimony and, if possible, photographs. You will have to immediately deliver these documents to the nearest traffic police station for registration and obtaining the appropriate certificate. In this case, the total damage from the accident should be no more than 25 thousand rubles.
